I've got all the Rohans and yeah the Highway Star one is the best, especially that black and purple color scheme. Best articulation of the three (or of any figure I own, actually) and the head sculpt is my favorite of the three. Looks the most like Rohan in my opinion

Not to mention the box was beat-up to all hell.

Sent an inquiry to buyee, the auction's title mentioned the bonus accessories and the only image for the auction showed tusk and the soundplate.

Jonathan is a legitimately amazing figure if you can find it for cheap.
Joseph is also okay but the lack of a smiling face is a huge turnoff to me and it tends to make him look kind of off.

Got refunded 5,503¥ in the end of the whole ordeal.
Wish it didn't have to happen, even though tusk act 1 isn't my favorite stand this lowers the resale value of the figure, but at least that's around 50$ back from a purchase that was admittedly way too expensive for what it's worth.

Koichi didn't see a re-release, so, sitting at his sub-2k price point, he got snatched up extremely quickly during the initial hype for the part 4 anime; causing his price to triple over time and never come down.

I'm not entirely sure why medicos only re-released Josuke/CD, Jotaro/SP and Kira/KQ, and released a brand new Rohan, WF Okuyasu and like 10 Swarovski Koichis, but they dropped the ball HARD on the part 4 anime.

From Japan I think is a decent alternative irrc. They access other buysites including YAJ and you can try out various other auctions that way. Otherwise Jungle Japan, AmiAmi preowned if you're lucky enough to refresh on a drop. Right now you just have to be persistent on finding the right sale at the right time before bidding wars break your wallet. Or you can just settle with whatever Mandarake charges and save yourself the pain. I'm just waiting it out and see where things are going to be at.

No, I was anticipating him ever since Stone Ocean was revealed and probably several other anon's but Medicos decided to settle with Jolyne, Hermes, Weather Report (no stand to boot), and Pucci. Anyone try to make a custom Weather Report? I was looking at the model viewer in eyes of heaven; feel like it wouldn't be impossible to make one using the Figuarts Body-kun male body. Add some of the wind flourishes on the hands/feet/shoulders, and over the face. Paint it all white with maybe super light blue accents. Kinda playing around with the idea because I'm afraid Medicos will never return to certain parts.

I recall a photo from a Japanese custom site but I lost the link some time ago. If anything I wish Medicos actually approach what RAH did and gave the partially summoned look for Weather Report if they didn't want to commit to a full release and pair it off with standard Weather. It would be a first for the stand SAS beyond just detaching the torso from lower half and plugging it normally.

Me, bought Johnny 12 days ago, it's marked as shipped but I've had no word from the seller.

I've been thinking of trying to cut up the EoH model, add joints, and 3D print it.

It's kinda low-res, but I think I can compensate pretty decently by using the normal bump as a displacement to bring out some extra detail. That or just tessellating the model a bit.

There is no way this guy is not trying to trolling you. Amazon almost always has absurd markups on figures and has no protections in place against bootlegs. The hierarchy I go by is:

1. Amiami - Usually has great markdowns compared to MSRP. Very reliable and sometimes pops up some rare figures for pretty good prices.
2. Big in Japan - A little clunky, but fairly reputable.
3. Mandarake - Usually used figures, but new ones pop up occasionally. Very reliable.
4. Amazon - This is the beginning of last resort territory. Figure sellers tend to be third party, meaning your Prime membership won’t do shit for shipping. Moreover, returns are a gamble depending on the seller and there’s always the possibility of getting a bootleg.
5. eBay - Lower than Amazon for the same reasons, but more consistent. Occasionally you might get a cool seller who’s an exception.
6. YAJ - Absolute last resort. You’ll have to use a proxy like Noppin or Buyee here and their fees are absurd.

No so use hot water to soften and loosen the knee piece and do it slowly. The D will probably be a little tricky since it's part of the gold knee piece but it doesn't seem that hard to remove if you use the right tool.

Different auctions proxies work differently. For some, you make a deposit via PayPal/card for that proxy's site, and you can use that deposit to promptly bid on items at your convenience. Seems right, I never use that short piece for dialogue plates and borrow arms on other stands if possible since they reach higher and you can adjust the angle. The short arm works a little better for those effect plates

Those mini-arms? Those are for the cutter effects for Ceasar. A lot of my SAS with those soundplates have the short arms and I largely ignored them. Kira, King Crimson, and probably more. Check around for the white manual and see if there's any indication of another arm but usually SAS with soundplates have those short arms to display them. Not to mention it's optimized better if you have the 3 hole bases since you can stick all of that into a single display, Medicos just didn't plan those out all that well so you need to borrow another spare base and better arm if you want to use the soundplates at around head level.

Rememebr when Clint Eastwood appeared in that Japanese magazine for the JoJo series? Was it safe to say they paid him money to take some photos and ghost wrote his interview? All he's doing lately is talking about how much he hates gays and how he supports Drumpf. Stop with this shit. Besides being obvious bait, it's also obvious Clint Eastwood doesn't give a shit about chink toons for weebs. The interview was set up because Araki was a massive fan of Clint and Clint probably either got paid or thought it would look good to meet up with a fan, even if said fan is sort of a celebrity himself
Also all this gay stuff is what fans attribute to the series. Yes, they're flamboyant and eccentric and fab but there's no actual confirmed homosexual characters or relationships in the series. Honestly, a lot of part 3 figs are kinda outdated now. I'd love an updated Polnareff. Sucks that SAS Big is its own thing now instead of just new sculpts for Stardust Crusaders.

We don't know what exact proxy you're using and what additional costs they may add before and after the whole order. Buyee for example usually adds in stuff like a usage fee of their service, domestic shipping I believe, and an optional inspection fee if you want make sure everything is there. If you can get him for cheap, there's a batch of Black Dio's with shitty QC so things like legs breaking off and bad paint apps will come up. Otherwise I dont think the yellow punch effects he comes with are hit with such issues. Lowest I ever seen him at was 2.5k

What are everyone's thoughts on Johnny Second? I know all the gripes a lot of people had towrds Gyro second's colors, (I don't actually hate it) but I really don't love the mostly blue Johnny. Hate when they color the hair off colors too
