I always thought Optimal Optimus was fucking retarded but it could at least do what little it was asked to do. The new one can barely do anything because of the gimmick.

It hasn't happened yet, but since the armor up gimmick shoulders are clip on, and the clips are small, those wear out and break pretty quickly.

If you get him just for the Hot Rod, then you won't run into any issues, but if you get him for Rodimus, he'll only be fine if you don't transform him.

Looking at Rippersnapper reviews, it seems Terrorcons got the most budget on the line, he has tons of pint aps and more articulation than the standard limb bot (wrists and beast leg articulation), he also includes both of his guns.

Managed to buy off a bro's Swoop, Slag, and Sludge weapons for my Dinobots. Didn't sell me Snarls since he planned to give that to another figure. He's mainly displaying them in dino, and Volcanicus mode so he didn't care about the weapons.

The figure is going to be $50 that's $85~$90. You budge with $50 more and you get three times the plastic, a better quality figure both in looks and transformation. I mean, you can like what you like but it's damn confusing to me to want to buy a shit toy that needs extra parts to complete what it should already have been when you can just buy a better toy of the same idea. I want to make it clear my mindset is to go/save for the best rather than just make yourself poor for something that's just a substitute.

True, but they already completed most of the classic combiner teams and some new ones at that point. CW had a ton of deluxes to pick from compared to what POTP has to offer, but no unique complete teams aside from the terrorcons. Of course you can still use CW combiners to fill out your ranks.But I would have liked to see some more unique teams, even if they were filled with retools.

In 'Galaxy Force', he could turn back time about 30 seconds, and every time he did, it put his life in danger. And messing with the time stream by travelling back in time and changing stuff is precisely the sort of thing he's supposed to PREVENT.

He probably bestows minor stuff like slowing down time, aging objects into dust and 10-second time jumps. Could still be a critical difference.

When Shuttle Blastoff is released the already existing Blastoff jet will be freed up. And if you bought the extra Deluxe Wildrider, Groove and Slingshot, that frees up Offroad, Rook and Alpha Bravoto fill in any gaps.

The robot mode doesn't look bad but it's missing so many of Primal's iconic weapons. No scimitars, no forearm guns, no shoulder launchers. I'd rather get the old Robotmasters figure. It's deluxe sized but it at least has all the appropriate weapons and beast mode.

I sadly can't recall nor have the time at the moment to dig through them but I think it was the Season 1 box set. They had 5 of them:
Season 1
Season 2 part 1

Season 3 part 1
Season 3 part 2 and season 4

I'm pretty sure it can't be the last one because one of those last season box sets was after the following year's botcon and they track down the girl from the video to ask how she felt about how the event went at the newest(at the time) botcon.

They've done that, too. Even Takara has been guilty of that, considering they made Sureshock female in Armada by naming her Arcee, arguably making her the first female minicon retcon. I also have no problems with Nitro Convoy being female in Cybertron considering Taakra made the Air Military minicons into girls for an exclusive set, despite not looking feminine at all.

I really do like it, and love the idea pf a Dinobot combiner, and that PE sword is just dick-demolishing. Sadly, the individual bots aren't good enoguh for their increased price, the rest of the PE set isn't great, and the stickers.

I'll just get the set complete for super cheap in a year from the BST or eBay like most of CW. That is if nothing better comes before then.

If you have the interest, and the money, you should looking Maketoys Galaxy Meteor. It's a super articulated Cybertron Starscream that still transforms and has the same gimmicks minus electronics. Just no that it's smaller, really expensive, and unofficial, so you'd have to go to the 3p thread to find out more.

Takeoff was a poor replacement for a G1 Blastoff. As far as just being a figure he wasn't too terrible. I considered getting four of him to use as limbs for Galvatronus a couple years ago. The whole problem with Nitro Convoy was they gave him Minerva's fucking color scheme. Before a VA was announced, everyone assumed because of that they were female, along with the fact that before Dreamwave folded and lost the license, one of their writers confirmed Nitro Convoy's American version was female. So the eventual casting for Galaxy Force surprised a lot of people. I'm pretty sure the genderchange was decided on really early on and planned for by Takara.
