Mythic Legions: Coliseum (OP image) is releasing soon and should reach US ports around March 10th to the 17th! Store sale to follow soon.

Mythic Legions: Advent of Decay production is moving along nicely, and we're still on track to receive the shipment of this wave this coming late Spring/early Summer.
Mythic Legions: All-Stars 2.0 wave would be shipping to us in late Summer 2018, but it's possible that it may be as late as Fall/Winter 2018.

I remember when the voting was happening, there was a fairly co-ordinated effort to get a Red Riding Hood homage happening with the Fan Ex, but then some colossal faggot hijacked the poll with dummy accounts, and we ended up with a horrible piece of shit. I'd say democracy doesn't work, but the Blood Knight turned out pretty sweet. Blame the Russian hackers, I guess.

In preparation for the upcoming vampire horde, I looked through My collection and picked up one of My favorite old figures, Kain from the first Soul Reaver game. Despite being pretty fuckhuge (which could be explained by him being an older vampire), does anyone think he could fit in, or is he too big/different?

If you like the head and the paint job, and you've experienced the Raven mold before, I'd say do it. The rest of him is the same as all the other birbs.
If you haven't gotten any other Ravens, do some research. Some people found the legs to be a little loose on the first batch of Ravens, and the arm swivels were seized on some, which is an easy fix if you aren't a hamfisted spastic.
I got the Archaeopteryx, Drayleon and the Black Raven, and I like them, but not as much as I like the non bird Legion figs. I haven't had any issues with the legs apart from the Black Raven being a little loose over summer before I had aircon.
Though I would still buy a Vultus or 2 if I could get them for non rape prices.

Will they make more?
Not sure if they will. That wave of Ravens have been collecting dust in their warehouse for yonks. They did do another chicken in the original Raven KS called Cockitrus, if chickens are your thing.

I was pushing for a more black/brown/silver rogue type character myself, but I wouldn't have turned down the Red Riding Hood idea had it won. Really, the only vote that messed up everything was Metallic Blue winning for the main colors. I mean, it's a nice color and all, but it didn't really suit the character or any of the prevailing concepts at the time. However I think the idea of having a blue character be the second FanEx to fight the first Red colored FanEx winner took hold of enough people to sway the vote. I won't say she's atrocious or horrible, and I have sat on the fence about grabbing her (the whole magic treasure hunter bit helps) but I'm pretty sure I'm ultimately going to pass on her.

That said, I wasn't a fan of the first FanEx either, as he just came out to being a red Gorgo. The "Viking Hero" concept just seemed much more interesting to me to the point I'm surprised the 4H hasn't done one yet.

If you don't have any of the bird figures, I say get him. They're not perfect (they do have a tendency to fall down over time) but they are a lot of fun. The biggest weakness for the birds is the reused body, but having a small amount of them would negate that problem. I have the good Colonel and I think he's great, especially if you give him a nice big greatsword. Ideally, a trio of those guys would really look good together, especially if you get ones with complementary color schemes.

Calling her a massive piece of shit was hyperbole, but she is my least favourite figure from the KS due to looking so hodge podge, and I would have much preferred the Red Riding Hood homage.
If I hadn't gone all in, I would probably have skipped her, but since i did, I should look at the positives.
That metallic blue is beautiful, she does come with some decent parts, like the hooded female head, a cape, and the weapons she is coming with are decent.
Also, the dumb bio they came up with on the forums is pretty funny.

I like the blood knight as much as I like Gorgo, probably more. And when the hero viking wasn't going to happen through the voting, the Horsemen ended up throwing us a bone and threw the Barbarian Deluxe builder into the KS, which managed to please the voters that wanted a Barbarian Viking, and the people that were asking for a Warduke homage.
Everyone got something from that Fan Ex in a way, even if what they wanted to buy wasn't the Fan Ex figure.

I got 7 Templars on pre-order, and 2 of her, because I wanted an extra of both the face and the female templar body.
But I'm missing Godfrey, and it's starting to hurt.
I should buy a few more templars when they are in stock, so I can customise a Godfrey, and do some more custom Templars.
And I'm not even crazy religious or anything, I just love the aesthetic.

I had Skapular take a shelfdive the other night, and I shit myself because the of the sound of the shield hitting the hardwood floor. He's not even floppy, I just had him in a dumb pose. Thank fuck nothing broke. I was sure that tiny shield peg was a goner.

Hmm... The Vampire Legion Builder and the Goblin Legion Builder use exactly the same shade of black, I suppose?
Cause I've just realized that you can easily get a male Vampire LB and a female Goblin LB just by swaping torsos.

Probably not. The Silver Knight and Silver Dwarf LBs from the first wave didn't even match exactly.
It's hard to tell until we have them in hand.
The Gobbo LB looks much more matte in finish than the Vamp LB does.
It should be close, but not exact.
Also the gobbo torso has a kind of forward thrusting neck, as seen in the Skeleton soldier pics.
So if you don't mind your male vamps being a bit hunchbacked, it should work.

You guys helped me with chosing last time (left the main chracters aside and went with the Templar and Skeleton LB), so i'll ask your opinion again for my next pre-order:
I've already decided for Bother Mandibulus and Knubnik (i love undead and bad guys). Since the pre-order will start this month and go untill almost the end of the next i think i can get two of them this month and squeeze one more next month, maybe two if they are LB guys (for obvious money related issues).
So which ones do you think i should with?

My favorite so far are:

>Delphina of Fathyross
>Skeleton Soldier Builder
>Elf Ranger
>Iron Knight

Opinions? It seems i can increase my undead army, start a Goblin army or go with any of the others for extra variety and form a balanced party of heroes/villains.

Of your options, I would go with Delphina, Elf Legion Builder (seriously, this guy comes with three heads and five accessories, he's a great bargin) and another skeleton.

This way you'd have your heroic Trio of the two human Templars and their Elf ally fighting against the undead horde led by Mandibulus with his mercenary Goblin lackey. If possible, I would even try for two of the new skeletons as I feel they make better grunt fodder then the original ones.

You'll have a nice variety of figures while filling most of the important traditional character rolls of a fantasy setting.

And I would go Gobbo and Iron Knight for LBs.

You can use the extra skellie head on the iron knight to boost the undead horde's numbers. Or Delphina's unhelmeted head for an extra hero.
Either way, you'll have lots of mix and match potential.

The design is cool, but imo it is ruined by the body sculpt. It is too bland and lacking definition for human female heroes already, so it's even more unfitting for a female demon. At least that's my impression and many other people's, as it probably was the most critizised thing in the wave, but your mileage may vary. Make sure you are ok with her body before you buy her.

Looks great, but you already have a goblin, so leave this choice for when you have thought about the other characters you are interested on. Also if you are trying to make the most of your money I'd think twice before buying several of these smaller than average guys.

Unless you happen to like his black armor specifically I'd pass. Sure, he's cheap, but Knubnik makes him obsolete and they will clash visually unless you manage to make a convincing headcanon for this armor. For example, I know some anons liked the fact that he was clean and uniformed looking and planned to have him as an elite goblin.

Get het. She looks great and will make a nice pair with your TLB to Deus Vult enemies together.
>Skeleton Soldier Builder
Sure, depending on your budget. I mean, I think it's a good choice, although there will probably be chances to get more skeleton builders in the future, so grab it if you think you should, but prioritize other characters.
>Elf Ranger
Well, it's the typical wood elf and part of the appeal of these figures is precisely to look like this kind of archetypes. Seems a solid choice.
>Iron Knight
Same as the Goblin Legion Builder. Since you should be picking Delphina, the Iron Knight might look weird-ish next to her unless you think a good backstory for her. If you want a cheap armored female I'd consider the Vampire Legion Builder as an alternative; the all-black armor fits her well, and the face and plume give her all the contrast and color she needs.

Probably better off using the Build-a-Femknight tabard torso, as that would give you a fully armored body for the figure and give her a more cleric look. Especially if you added the long loin cloth.

Delphina seems like a good one, to crusade together with your templar against the skeleton hordes. And of course a skeleton builder, to give mandibulus a waifu/another soldier. Maybe gonxx, or a lb goblin (though their black armor looks a little too clean for my tastes) so all your factions have at least 2 guys? Gonxx has the dwarf body from the earlier mythic legions runs, so if you get him you'll have more body variety if you don't have a dwarf. All of the above said, I still love the iron knight's sallet helm, so I'd scrimp for one more.

Almost all of it was made from pink insulation foam which I carved out each brick with an exato knife and I rubbed a chunk of brick over it to give texture to the foam because it is smooth, I also took chunks out and carved in cracks to add even more texture. Paint was done by black washing it with watered down black acrylic paint so the pigment could get in every little crevice to bring out the details of the texturing and then I dry brushed different shades of grey. The pipe on the side is just a drain grate I bought at a hardware store sanded down and painted copper

Thanks! I looked at a lot of videos on youtube for tips and what not. I was at first going to do what you did and used the foam cutter to detail the bricks but decided not to as it wouldn't be as neatly done as if I cut it by hand myself but man did it take fucking work, the entire thing took me about 3 weeks to get it all done.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. I've put thought on what you said and i'll be going with Delphina for sure, if a manage to get another one i'm not sure yet i'll go with a good or bad guy, but i'm leaning towards the Elf Ranger for that Fantasy appeal.

I'll probably change my mind a few times untill the pre-order starts, but for now these are my conclusions, thanks again for all the help, you guys are great!

As an alternative to cutting out bricks, you can just gouge the brick lines into the foam sheet, though it'll be less textured. I wish I'd roughed mine up more, but live and learn I guess.

You make one, like I did!

He's made of an Alien Covenant xenomorphic, with his head and back tubes and tail chopped off, and an aquarium treasure chest with dollhouse hinges, and I sculpted the teeth and gums from apoxie sculpt. The tongue is from a knockoff venom figure. Wasn't too hard to make, but definitely some time investment. It was my first custom, so I'm pretty happy with it, and it wasn't too hard to make.

Covenant Xeno is much less tube-y, and much more organic than the other ones. So personally I wouldn't use a different one, but he's only 25 bucks on BBTS right now. That's cheap compared to the average cost of a custom project, honestly.

The inside is unimpressive. I didn't remove the neck hinge of the Xeno, or really paint it that much, and the tongue isn't actually mounted to anything, I just glued a Revo joint to it so it could hook over the lip of the chest. But unless the mou is flipped wide open, you'd never see that. Here's a pic from the sculpting of the gums I guess, it's the closest thing I have on my phone. The lines of teeth are attached with magnets

I originally pledged for the Knight builder, and then upped that to All In for the backerkit.
Plus legion builders.
I was cashed up, and sick of seeing the figures I missed out on for stupid prices.
So I went nuts on extras.
My only real regrets are the Female Orcs, since I could have got more gobbos instead.
And the extra Gryshas. I can't remember why I did that.
Everything other extra is for customizing or to display their alt heads.

So for this sale, all I need is another Gwendolyn, Frejya, and Hagnon, and more gobbos. And maybe some Knight Weapon Packs. But we'll see if cash allows.
And then I'm done until the next wave, or I find Ilgarr and Vultus for non rape prices.

I have a feeling she's going to be like Ignatius from the first wave, where the colors won't truly shine until you see her in hand. No one knew just how glorious Ignatius's pearlescent armor was going to turn out and chances are Skelemom's head dress will look amazing in real life but photograph very poorly.

Oh I see, thanks for the links. It also seems like they had new mold for the wings? I'm not quite sure but the pin seems bigger. Hopefully it works better than the previous wings (which are floppy and overpriced as shit at 20 bucks a piece).

The Orc Builder kind of got shafted, not only did she not get any kind of Stretch Goal bonuses like nearly every other figure, she managed to be packed with three of the most boring weapons in the line. To make things worse, she also has that one fully armored arm that was a major turn off to a lot of people. Asymmetric armor is interesting when it's a unique character or used to make a group of troop builders somewhat individualized. But when every troop builder has the same half armored look, it's just kind of odd. She should've came with two bare arms, different weapons and at least a second torso.

The Fembarian is closer to what the Orc Builder should have been, right down to the inclusion of an actual Fem-Orc head, although in human colors. But I just don't get why she wasn't set up as a unique character. Being a half-orc is an interesting, if not overused, character trait better fit to a unique character, not a troop builder.
After seeing all these guys in full color, with their full load outs, I'm excited for this line all over again. I completely forgot the FanEx figure comes with a banner (I thought it was supposed to be the 4H's logo, but it was blank in the pics). That actually makes her more interesting to me as those banner posts fit with the swappable staff heads she comes with. It would be awesome, and more fitting, to have an adventuring magic user like her wielding a smaller scepter/magic rod instead of that bulky and awkward long staff. The banner would probably look better on top of the staff anyway.

I thought about some more gobbos but I don't like Gonxx's factory paint job( they say it's not final but I don't have faith the chinese can pull off the rusted armor look as well as the prototype) and knubnikk isn't different enough from the builders for me(which I already have 2 of from the kickstarter).

All the weapon sets turned out amazing, and the added variety gives a lot more life to each character. I grabbed three individual sets, while also getting most of the weapons from the elf/vamp set packed with each figure, but I'm tempted to throw more into my order. The turtle shell from the "evil" set being able to fit on a goblin's back was a fantastic surprise, but I think the Dwarf set ended up being my favorite. It's just a nice mix of interesting, but not absurd weapons that can see use for a variety of characters.

Knubnick actually has two different unique head sculpts, that would be more then different enough for me. You could grab Knubs and a third Gob LB, and have a little goblin horde where each figure has a unique head. Change up their pauldron/collar/loin armors and each of the LB would be a unique grunt in the Gob horde.

The new 2.0 slim bodies look to have even more articulation then the rest, but hard to know until we get them.

Elf and Vampire Legion Builders because the all-gold and all-black armors seem quite fitting for them and their faces and weapons are propperly painted, so they look pretty much as solid as standard figures for a fraction of the cost. Other builders have designs that make it more glaring that the leather straps in their armors have no paint, they've got no faces and/or their weapons come in single color.

King Bromdenn. Lots of accesories, including soft goods.

Ravaena has lots of stuff, too, but... yeah, you know...

There are several figures with extra heads and 3-4 weapons. I find it remarkable how different Calavius' helmets are. He's a Roman gladiator with one of them, then you put the other and he's now a motherfucker from something like Conan or Golden Axe.

On the other side, I think the Orc and Barbarian Warrior builders offer not enough stuff or quality paint to justify the higher price over other legion builders. Queen Urza comes with very little stuff as well, even more so when you consider that the figure itself has no pauldrons or side skirts.

I also find wings way too expensive. I may buy some winged character in the future, essentially paying $10 for the wings, but there's no way I'm paying $18+shipping for those alone.

IIRC the new wings cost the same as the old avian wings. Do we have to understand that they include the adapter while costing the same? I also think they said there would be four different adapters, two of which would serve the new wings. What adapter would the wings come with? Both?

I don't know, it's possible the adaptor is included, but I'm not sure that's the case. When they said they'd be "coming with" they might just have meant they were being developed together, not being bundled together.

Considering the amount of extra heads and shit being included with the new figures, I thought it was a given that the adapters would come with the wings.

The 4H didn't even bother taking picture of the newer wing mold (it's exact same sculpt but with modified swivel connection, so technically new mold) >>6851000. Instead they just show the same 'ol floppy old wings with older small peg that nobody wants (pic related). No picture of the adapters, no nothing. According to the instagram the 4H made 4 adapters, 1 each for the 2.0 and 1.0 bodies, and 1 each for old and new wings, so 2x2 = 4. Do we have confirmation that all 4 adapters gonna come with the wings? Nope.

It would avoid a lot of unnecessary confusion if the 4H just show us the picture of the items that we're preordering. That's like what every sane company does. Look up Amiami PO pages and see how professional companies does it.

Considering how big the 1.0 shoulder pauldrons are, does the wings hang off the lower back like 2.0 adapters but lower? Upper back? Nobody knows! This is absolutely retarded and unprofessional.

They're too lazy to even take picture of their new product, so they put up picture of the old product instead. Even now I'm unsure on how does the adapter looks for 1.0 bodies? How do they get around the gigantic pauldrons? These are things that are important to know and should be laid out clearly in the store page so people can make informed decisions. People shouldn't have to chase around the 4H employee personal facebook page for these kind of questions.

It's not really that Dwarf bodies have limited articulation, the bodies, upper arms and waists are all the same and their legs have just as much articulation as the taller figures, they're just shorter. The only articulation issue with Dwarves is that their shorter forearms mean they can't reach across their chests to two hand a sword. But even the taller figures have trouble doing that. It's more an issue with the clearance on the torso and elbows then the size or joints of the figure themselves.

Dwarves in this line are just as well articulated as the taller figures, and the new figures look to have even better range of motion, as well as an added abdomen joint.

Also, Gonxx uses the older wave 1 body type, which is bulkier then the new mold figures released in the 2.0 wave, he just has a unique neck piece to allow a 2.0 head to fit the older body. The other goblins will all have the newer Slim body type, with a better range of motion (i.e. they can two hand a sword)

This is kind of ridiculous in that they're giving us even MORE stuff without upping the price on these guys. Honestly, I never really cared about the wings and I was just fine with them being used on specific "Deluxe" characters to begin with. I never had any plans on getting any wings, but the fact they not only managed to come up with a system that allows both new and old wings to fit both new and old ML bodies is just so crazy I may just get a set just because.

I might just grab some bone wings, throw a spare skull on a Gob Legion Builder and make myself some sort of undead imp lackey or something.

They're no Figma or Revoltech, but the basic Legion articulation is pretty nice. The worst part is that their arms can't fold in across their chest very well, and the skeletons actually get the best range of motion in regards to that issue.

Though I do agree a $20 mark-up for the figure is a hard pill to swallow, and it's something that's kept me from grabbing him as well. But I also have other skeletons so he's far less tempting for me.

The only articulation skellies don't have compared to the other figs is the swivel in the upper thigh.
You won't find it cheaper than that on the secondary market. They were $35 plus shipping from storehorsemen.
You can buy it, and if you aren't happy, you'll easily get your money back flipping it down the road.

This is a really weird solution. Why not pack in 1B and 2B adapters with the new wings and sell 1A and 2A adapters separately.
I'm not complaining about getting more stuff with my figures and it's very nice for older fans that they made avian-adapters, but i really hope they've calculated this right since this will mean a production price increase and considering they need a new kickstarter for every wave it doesn't seem like they have a lot of money for this sort of stuff left over..
Hopefully this won't lead to quality issues...

I don't understand what a thigh swivel would offer the skellies. Their bone leg doesn't have an apparent "forward" direction and they swivel at the knee, so I can't imagine a pose that a thigh swivel would provide that the skeletons can't do. Can someone demonstrate? I swear I'm not baiting, I legitimately can't imagine it.

Does anyone have this guy Gorthokk? I just got him in from BBTS and he doesn’t really look like he does in the 4H photos and the box. Hes mostly black like he doesnt have any of that medium brown skin. Like they missed a paint app or something. Anyone have the same? Kinda disappointed. I got him and lime green skelly.

Ok was wondering if it was a case like the black knight and missing the red eyes. Upon further inspection it has a very slight brown wash over the black. Too bad the photo looks better with that well defined 3 skin tones. Its stuff like this that make me worry for Morgolyth >>6849845

Yeah nah not buying that excuse he is pictured like that in all of 4H’s promotional materials for Covenant of Shadow including the packaging art. Seems more like a paint app on the master that didnt make it or have the same effect when mass produced. Reminder that this wave had multiple issues with paint and overall quality, the first shipment was loose as fuck. This wave had the most issues.

I've got a skellie LB with his leg sticking out at an angle as though he's lunging forward, and the knee looks a little awkward. But I'd rather that than having the aesthetic of the thigh bone being destroyed by the articulation.

I'm guessing having 1A and 2A come with each respective figure means the adapters will match the armour/flesh of each figure.
I'll admit, it would be nice to be able to get them separately, especially if they made some in the colours of the older figures from 1.0 through to Coliseum waves.

I feel like having 4-5 unique ML figures result in the best of both worlds. I remember getting Owain from BBTS and it blew my mind.

Then I went onto a binge buying the 1.0 leftover stocks, PO'd the floppy 1.75 figures and now I have 20 plus figures and they were all meh. The reused mold really got old quite fast. It looks really stupid on the shelf that Gorgo the big bad had the same exact helmet as Ignatius the knight in shining armor, Barbarian man and Blood Knight.

I feel you, but just try to think of it as like......all these guys happened to buy the same helmet in-universe and then painted them up all custom. I mean, it's even harder to believe that every set of armor in this world is a one-off design that the blacksmith will never make again.

Yeah but the idea that supposedly opposing faction, and characters with polar opposite design (Blood Knight vs. Ignatius vs. Forest Sentry) are wearing the exact same helmet is pretty silly. Other than molds, I think the articulation is also fairly limited. The lack of up/down hinge hand hinge really hamper the poseability of these guys. For characters wielding swords/spear, up down hinge is pretty necessary.

Oh well, at least these guys retain their price pretty well. I might try to flip some of my excess preorders for the 2.0 figures on ebay.

Ahhh, that's really disappointing (I don't own any of these yet). Up and down hinged hands are so much fun for melee users. And considering pretty much every figure is a melee type in this line, I'm kind of stunned 4H didn't think about this.
