These toys are well respected but deserve to be more popular, so let's talk about them.

Started the thread partially because my Stealth Speeder arrived today, and I wanted to share that I was able to remove the roll cage without modding or breaking anything. Makes the backpack mode nicer since it's not jutting so far off the back, and I don't mind having a topless buggy / chicken walker.

30ish new. Bigbadtoystore has them in stock. Best to get the line as they come out otherwise you’re stuck paying aftermarket prices two to three (sometimes four) times the original price. The Marine is the best example. Bob’s actually pretty hard to come by these days, second hardest Buck’s Team member to find after Steel

I will 100% suggest trying your hand at making some dio pieces yourself. It's really not hard. A good starter project would be:
-get some of that pink sheet foam from a hardward store
-measure out brick lines on it
-etch the lines in with something dull, like an ink pen
-paint it all black
-dry brush a main color
-dry brush a highlight color

Also, helpful tip, the stone texture spraypaint does not melt foam like most of them do. It's a pretty hand base layer for terrain.

It’s a regional exclusive. If you’re new to the line you’ll learn that unless you’re in Taiwan it’s nigh impossible to be a completist without spending assloads of money.

These aren’t produced in that large of a quantity, some are convention exclusives and there aren’t that many vendors so if you miss the boat on one you’ll be stuck hunting for a while. I’ve been looking for Steel for about 4 years now. Once people get them they tend to hold on to them.

There is a Facebook BST group called Nuclear Storm but it’s mostly full of people just waiting around for someone to sell something. Once an item like the Marine goes for sale we all scramble like vultures.

The Sol Commander and Agurts Infantryman got a rerelease so get them while you can

God, I have the same problem. I like 1:18 a lot more, but they're releasing them so slowly. Meanwhile B25 this fucking cranking them out, but they're so tiny and have no weathering that I don't really want them, but their combining gimmick is also sick

What are some things that have had prototypes shown that you hope will get released? For me it's the flak bike. Haven't heard anything about it for a long time but I still have hope that it will get released. I also watched an interview with Kit Lau where he said that they're thinking of making accessory packs, those would be amazing.

Boy, this doesn't look too appealing, and Kit Lau's interesting designs are being wasted, they're indistinguishable from any generic army grunt in this distant isometric style.

You know what would have been interesting? If the game was based heavily around the titular mechanic. Acid Rain is supposed to be "the world under pollution," right? It would have been neat to require planning for shelter from the rain, building slowly decaying awnings and walkways and such. Battles out in the open would have a ticking time bomb kind of feel--can you defeat this enemy before the downpour starts to burn through your armor? I mean, I can't say for sure they haven't implemented something like this, but so far it looks lik3e a pretty basic cookiecutter RTS.

Part of why I’m so crazy about these things is all about the aesthetic. Neither the animated portion nor gameplay do it any favors. It’s also why I haven’t gotten around to the b2Five thing
