>>6845539Yes, to an extent. If I try to twist my leg it isn't just my foot that will move. And articulation is meant to allow human movement, not be anatomically accurate. Obviously your thigh won't ever be facing forward, but that isn't what that point is for.
>>6845883That's a strange reason to like something, but that's fine. I on the other hand feel that motion is required, to at least some extent to even attempt to pose things realistically without a stand.
Have either of you messed around with the newer 3.75 marvel legends that don't have thigh swivels, I think that's a good compromise. Essentially, there's more room in the socket to allow that swiveling motion as well as all the regular motion. Boss fight even built the Bucky bodies with that kind of motion in the legs/thighs.
>>6845519Thanks for the suggestions, and I actually do have both knights and the orc conqueror. They're actually what prompted me to write what I did, and to find out what others thought about it. I personally feel like the current ankles are ok, but need at least some accompanying thigh motion to actually try to get them flat on the ground. Meanwhile ankle rockers, done without some means to twist the foot or leg, also make things a bit of a pain, so I think those too need some thigh motion, otherwise you run into the issue that hacks females have. Basically, I guess my underlying issue is that with the way the hips are, I feel like posing is severely limited without a stand. Anyone can feel free to post pics of these figures in good poses that look natural (like no balancing on the inside of your foot) without a stand, maybe I'm too used to legends or figuarts so I'm not used to posing these guys, but the best good looking action poses I can get out of these guys without a stand is pretty limited and usually off balance. Comoaraticely, I can get some nice (imo anyways) poses out of Shodo vs, or MU, or Bucky figures, etc very easily.
