Remember when LEGO would only make sets out of proven, well-respected family franchises like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Potter, etc?

Now every franchise with enough shillbux gets a theme.

The fucking Lone Ranger movie nobody saw got a theme.

Lone Ranger was expected to be the next Pirates of the Caribbean, so it made sense for them to pick it up. Also the Lego theme was a solid Western line even if the movie was shit.

You know what I remember? Is when Lego had awesome origional themes and not even star wars. Fuck all license shit. Lone Ranger at least had a Western theme for a change. Something we should get more of. Also I almost bought this Angry Birds castle at TRU, marked up of course I think. There was only one on the shelf and I was thinking wow, some castle pieces I can actually buy in the store. But I'm glad I didn't after I saw pictures of how small it really is.

Because we can't even have our Lego without having licensed corporations shoved down our throats. Lego now going green and making their sets more diverse. Before you know it we'll have our first tranny lego minifigure or some shit. There will be 3 in 1 creator houses that come with 2 dads.

I can't speak for everyone but I'm still upset over the Bionicle reboot getting its media aspect mishandled, and then the entire line getting unceremoniously axed right when we got a novel writer who was laying groundwork. There was rampant speculation that they did it on Disney's behalf to not compete with Star Wars figures, and the past few years have made it clear that Lego will undercut its brands and fuck its fans just to please the licensing overlords.

To be frank the company sold out, and I'm probably not the only one who feels they aren't deserving of support.

The only good set is the army builder with scarlett, cap and a few mooks, but then it should have included a shield agent and wakandan warrior because of my personal tastes. The problem with the infinity war set can be shown in the thanos big fig, had Disney given them money for a new helmetless mold and not separate the pod into another set as a dlc, thor should be packed in the wakanda wall with groot, shuri and the other minifigs. The only good set is the mansion but only because of the illusion given as to how large the inside looks while opened up.
