So there are a LOT of korean toys that go under the radar over here so I thought we could make a thread to talk about them.

Dinocore is getting a 4th season and new robots and toys.

Mecard is getting released by mattel over here.

Monkarts is digimon automorphing toys.

I dunno whats going on with tobots still.

Really like Dinocore conceptually but they’re too expensive to impulse buy. Maybe if my nephew was into the show or something to justify the purchase for “him”.

I just got the core season 1 dinocore mech today.

I love it. You can make three different forms, the shoulder cores are pullback toys with missile gimmicks, the center one lights up and makes sounds.

It even plays the theme song and the ending song.

Dinocore looks like it's taking a step backwards with the new robot designs. Hello Carbot started out with strong transformations for its toys, rivaling Transformers, but now it's all about the "gimmick". I don't get the appeal of Mecard, the toys look lame. T-Busters had a nice combiner robot the toy is cool as well. X-Buddies was a nice show with Robotack rip-off transformations. Good solid toys.

I saw videos, looked cool and loved how there was an alternate plesiosaur body in the line. It does do the awful Japanese thing of having no villains to fight though, that’s lame.

It's not just that they're expensive, though. They're expensive and they're not better quality or materials than Japanese stuff, sometimes not even better than American stuff.

Although the high prices make me shy away from them, I've never thought they were actually cheap looking.

Care to give an example? I'm curious because, if nothing else, they've always seemed like they were at least decent quality.

That said, I have three Tobot knockoffs I got from Aliexpress. One was surprisingly good, but the other two weren't very good at all.
