Really had spotty QC early on but they're getting better every step of the way. Their recent TDK figures have been pretty outstanding and bodes well for future figures.

This, pretty much. I have their old catwoman and their new fett and spider-man and it's like night and day. Nothing's broken, gotten loose, or even popped off on either of the new ones, they really turned their QC around. Their prices definitely went up in the same timeframe, so you kind of know where the money went.

I'm not huge on the DCEU designs, but it's a generic enough batman that it could fit in with other stuff. I was gonna get the SHF for the same reason but it was too small, hopefully mafex keeps up the suicide squad scale and he's like 6.5" or something.

And I love SAS for all it’s flaws, but mafex never makes a big impression on me. Skin always looks sallow and lifeless, articulation always just ok, never buttery smooth or perfect feeling. Very hit or miss CQ-wise. There's some fucking pieces of shit like the first Dark Knight Batman they did or surprisingly good like their EST Boba Fett.

Personally, they've always been the thing to get if there wasn't a Figuarts option

I guess it makes the price more reasonable, but this implies that there's no plans for any sort of scaled Tezuka figure series.

Would personally love to have a high quality figure of Tenma, and Pluto from the 2003 anime.

I would love a whole 1/12 Tezuka line.

The Mafex Homecoming spidey is debatably the definitive version of that suit. A bit shocked how they delivered a better head and body sculpt over Figuarts, but it's hard to deny this in comparison videos.

I'm new to figmas and if rikka shiina is indicative to figmas standard then I would agree with that anon. She was pricey, accessories didnt fit on the gun and after 4 poses a bunch of her joints are loose. Paintjob wasn't great either.

I liked the BvS figure because their take actually seemed to get the proportions a little bit wrong. Which made it look less like the movie but more like a generic Bats, which is my real interest. That one is more obviously Affleck's Batman, unfortunately.

I see they fixed the cape. I can’t tell you how much I fucking hated the BvS one’s cape because they wired the bottom of the cape instead of the sides. Also, the face is stupid and I’m I’m stupid for buying it.

I always wanted more japanese figures of western movie characters, and that's exactly what MAFEX has been doing. In particular, their Baba Yaga and Robocops have me very happy.

If they can lower their prices and increase their quality control in the future, they'll be golden.
