Alright, /toy/ - I'm looking for something new to collect. Something that gives me the thrill similarly to what I had with my first collection, figmas.

I hoarded like a hundred of'em, and they're super fun to play with. I love messing up with them and taking pictures etc - I also got some SH Figuarts but no line that really made me go crazy.

Tried really hard to like Revoltechs, but they're weird. I don't really like Hasbro quality on stuff but Transformers seemed nice?

What do you collect and why, anon?

Try some of the smaller, pricier brands. Sentinel would be a good place to start. They cost more than your typical Figma/SHF/Revo, but are typically more intricate, detailed, feature-laden, etc.

I really want to do that with mine but I'm scared I'll accidentally break one of the more delicate parts of the figmas.

OP, I own several toys (around 140) and I can give you some tips.

First of all, my favorite lines are MOTUC and Mythic Legions.

MOTUC is a solid line, with a great cast of characters set in a beautiful world that mix technology with magic. Imagine strong men against evil forces of the darkness, all using heavy armor and medieval weapons. The line is highly expensive, since they never get re-releases, but I really support this line.

Mythic Legion is kinda expensive when is later released, so try to get 'em in pre-orders. I love medieval settings, I always played RPG when I was young so you might love this line. Full of knights, trolls, goblins...

As far as I know, anime lines usually end abruptly. Sole exception is Dragon Ball Z S.H Figuarts. There are new releases every now and then, but most are repaints. I avoid this line, but I have some. I didn' bought any Dragon Ball Super toys though.

Figma has some great characters, but no big franchises. Berserk has some characters that complete the main cast. But Figma releases a lot of anime dolls, and I don't like this kind of toy. I like male characters mostly. I can count in my fingers the dolls that I have.

I have Big Boss and Raiden by Revolt, and Spiderman and Spidergwen. I hate the revolver joint! They did an EXCELENT JOB in Marvel though. There are rumors that perhaps this line will be cancelled due to IP.

One line that I love is One Piece by Megahouse. They are wonderful, beautiful figures from the anime. I don't like the show too much, but the line is consistent and beautiful.

if you are into comics, Marvel Legends is the way. DC doesn't have a line of toys so well made as Marvel Legends.

I forgot one thing: other great line from anime characters is JoJo. I have several and I love this line. Unfortunely Medicos is taking the wrong decisions lately. But most released are well made, some have QCs.

I like to collect chibi or super-deformed figures of various mediums, like movies and video games, in general. Also movie monsters and Spider-man figures. Used to be big into Star Wars, but mostly just collect 6" Black Series once in a while nowadays.

3rd party Transformers then? Unofficial, unlicensed, but usually very high quality, as long as you do your research and buy the good figures. They also run the gamut from somewhat cheap to ball bustingly, retardedly expensive, so you've got a wide range to play with in terms of price, and a huge character selection in general with all of the 3P companies out there.

I really liked Mythic Legion, I'll check that one for sure, as for the others, I'm on 150+ figmas plus some Revos and Figuarts, I'm good on them.

I also go interested in Megahouse One Piece mainly because I actually enjoy the show - do you have any pics for it? I never digged JoJo much, but the toys look awesome as fuck.

What's the main difference from 3rd party to 1st party? Do they use the real name from the robots? I actually understand jack-shit of Transformers, I just really like giant robots

I like to collect pops, there is a pop for everything. And also they are a great retirement plan. I have spent over 1000$ each on some exclusives. They are sure to make bank in a few years
