>>6868814Like dieting, it's very simple: put less stuff in it.
Risers will only go so far. The primary means is having less stuff.
>>6869020Yes. It's either Detolf or you go pro and get huge glass display cases like they have at conventions and museums. Or you go total amateur and put them in windowless bookshelves or shitty wooden cabinets with half-wooden doors with poor visibility. I suppose there are people who attempt to put plastic panels over wall shelving, but that's pretty ghetto and not worth it.

>>6870939Huh. Kallax are pretty tall. almost 58". Also not cheap.
I've talked about theoretical rearrangement of Detolf panels before, but I've never gone through with it or seen anyone else do it.
It might require too much additional custom work to make it worth the savings compared to having the whole thing built custom-made.
Looks like the side panels are different widths from the back panel, and of course the door is narrower than the back. 34.5cm VS 38.5cm. the door is like 8mm less than the back. I'm not sure 8mm is wide enough to have a beam for typical wall mounted shelves like they have at those convention display cases. Yeah. Ones from Lowes are 14mm thick. I wonder if you could cut notches in the glass to make room. probably harder in the middle than the ends. and I'm not sure how far apart they'd have to be to hold up a shelf made from the front door. I wonder if you'd need a 3rd one in the middle. or just 2 spaced closer together instead of at the far ends? but that would be less aesthetic from one of the wider sides. so would a single reinforcing beam in the middle, but not as much as 2 reinforcing beams?
