This one actually looks pretty standard compared to the other BA releases.
It sucks how she doesn't seem to come with much compared to all of the stuff Toobie came with since our only real shot at getting an Emil figure is as a pack in.

Come on man, it's literally why her hometown hated her in the first place and treated her like a freak. This caused her and her grandma to set up their home near the outskirts of the village. Most that info was pretty much dumped on you at the start of Route B.

Hell it's why she's scantily clad, it's to show off her feminine features and feel proud of herself for it, regardless of what the other villagers thought of her.

Emil's a given since he's the series mascot at this point. Bro Nier has a good chance if Kaine's coming, but I think Papa's got a decent chance too if we're lucky.
I'm actually worried we won't see any Drakengard figures, since the series' popularity only really kicked off with Automata.

I did notice the price shot up recently. I got into the game pretty late and saw it as sold out at the lower price last week.
Opted for a couple of the machines instead.

It was hardly treated as fetish material by the creator though, especially since the main author (Yoko Taro) purposely added it as the reasoning for the character being treated as an outcast in the game and how he wanted to humanize what's normally treated as an "other" by society. Character and story-wise, Kaine's still treated as a woman through and through. It's the same mindset he had with Emil being gay.

It's understandable that most people immediately jump to conclusions of fetish fuel when learning about Kaine's character, but it's actually nice how the concept of her being a hermaphrodite came from something that genuinely treated it as part of her backstory and personal hangups. Nier's friends being what's normally ostracized in society was exactly the intent behind Kaine and Emil's conception. Kaine being an outcast even serves to inform her rough/coarse personality and her wearing skimpy clothes/lingerie is her way of owning her femininity.

Interestingly by comparison, 2B's finalized design had fetish-y aspects in mind with Taro wanting her to have a nice ass. Not that fanservice is bad since Taro doesn't give a fuck and just likes sexy/pretty ladies in general, but I couldn't help but notice the irony with anon comparing the two characters.

Thanks. Yeah, Zero and her sisters are among my biggest wants even if the chances are low. It's a real shame too since their designs are some of the most striking in the series.

That's the thing though. It doesn't really take away from the main game but it's official material that's properly supervised by Yoko Taro to expand and enhance the experience for those who want to know more about the world/characters.
