>>6882818No, there's just a toy vendor on /toy/ who hated the Icons line because he invested so much on DCD shit he couldn't sell and that's basically his entire stance on why the Icons line is shit, hence me thinking you're him because of "practices"
I'm pretty sure he's also that guy who thinks there's only 3000 collectors who will buy the Star Wars Jabba Barge, since he sells shit at comic conventions.
Or maybe there's a lot of dumbass toy vendors on /toy/.
Who knows.
Either way, your reasons are equally as shitty as his are.
>plastic issues, broken jointsLOL, yep, look at this ignorance based on past years figures, which makes me think you're really that vendor guy with a hate boner for DCC.
>Scale issuesfixed after the first few waves
>cut accessoriesi think only Static had them cut.
>widespread cancellationsIt hurts, but when people like yourself avoided the line because of year old issues from a year old non-Icons lines and thought all figures still had scale issues....
>You know you made a shitty line when people look at a follow-up like Essentials and think, "well, how can it be any worse?"How is it a shitty line when most of the figures were actually good? Again, only the first waves were pretty flawed (mostly scale) but as toys they were better than most figures out at the time and trounced everything Mattel has ever made. Later waves were and are great toys compared to most other company's stuff. Essentials is stylized genericshit that's as cheap as an ML. So if you like MLs, there's your thing and not actually bad. It's a cheapo standard.
A shitty line is like pic related, where people expect low budget cheapness as a collector's selling point.
