I think my biggest issue is that I like his final form and his base form more than Metal Cooler, but if I were betting money on which of the three we'll never see, it wouldn't bet on Metal Cooler. Which sucks because I really want the other two. I'll take what I can get at this point though

I just don't understand the desire for movie villains myself. Like why would you want a character like Cooler, Janemba or Turles when we still haven't gotten SHFs of villains like King Piccolo, the Ginyu Force or Kid Buu?
I'm honestly just perplexed by it. Sure, some of them have cool designs but none of them really had any character to make them memorable enough for to want a figure of them

To be fair, this can be said for a shit ton of characters from this franchise
The most character development we had was from Vegeta and ever since they resurrected the franchise, he's reverted all of that

But King Piccolo, Super Buu (base), and Kid Buu need to be made. I do want a Cooler and Janemba though. As well as that 3p Ginyu that I am really worried that we aren't getting any news about.
And as always, GT shit. Mostly just Super Baby and Omega Shenron though. I can figure rise the SS4s.

Idk man most of the movie villains are takes on existing villains anyway. Lord Slug is King Piccolo, Cooler is Freeza, Janemba is Buu, but they're all just cool designs for pretty much the same characters. Plus, if they're big enough to headline a movie, they make for a cool villains shelf.
Besides, I only want King Piccolo out of those three. I would like a Ginyu but I'd prefer Super Buu or Gotenks Buu first. And before anyone says anything about Gotenks, I don't like Gotenks but his vest looks a lot better on Buu than it does on anyone else. And Gohan needs someone to fight.

I'm generally fine with all of the SS forms, but the story and show could have still worked if they had shed half of them.

Get rid of super saiyan God. Super Saiyan Blue is now called Super Saiyan God. Each super saiyan form can be combined with god ki to get ssg2, ssg3, and ssg4. Ultra Instinct does not provide a power boost, only speed/agility since the whole point is fighting without thinking. Kaio Ken can be used with any form. So ultra instinct ssg4 kaio Ken x20 is possible

I'd have made the God red form, the main form Goku and Vegeta would be striving for. I liked the limits on it. (Have to use other sayians to access it). It was the most interesting thing about Battle of the Gods. I felt it fit the established. then they threw it all out the window.

Because that's how Toriyama painted the hair in the original future Trunks design for Super and the guys at Toei were moronic enough to use that color instead of the one they always used for him since Z, like they did with kid Trunks.

The same happened with bulma, but it's more obvious on Trunks.

There was never really any sort of sense to the release schedule, as far as figures from a specific series/arc falling in a certain order or being close together.

Saiyan arc got a lot of stuff last year, which is the closest they did to trying to really bunch all the characters from an arc together.

The first one is great, kinda. Except that he isn't when compared to the new figures.

The PC Trunks had weird milky skin, terrible faces, terrible SSJ hair, and was way over saturated in color. It's not worth owning, even if it's the only jacketed Trunks widely available. Not to mention, he was missing the best face (smirking face).

The new design is MUCH better IMO. While the old design has about the same range as the new one, the old design looks incredibly awkward and unnatural to me in most positions. The new crotch design looks much more natural to me without huge ass gaps. That said, I can’t help but wonder if ball joints like the ones that come on Medicos SAS and the SHF Androids would’ve been a simpler more effective solution.

They are going hard on the Black arc, and with that Trunks, the possible Vegetto Blue. Zamasu can be closer than ever, using the Black arc they can release classic Vegeta and Goku with SSB like they said that would possibly do.

Not when you reach the adult world and realize that pays like shit. You sound like elementary school kids who want to be video game testers because you're "paid to play video games." Even if you just showed up and posed the figures that's like an hour or two of work, you'd make maybe $20. No the people doing this are also getting their at 6 in the morning, setting up booths, talking to potential customers, the figure posing is a very small part of the job, and all of it is tiresome entry-level stuff that no one in their right mind likes to be paid for and is only doing it for said pay.

During the Cell arc, they were just trying to reach an ascended state of SS with higher power and better Ki control or whatever. SS2 should have just been considered proper mastery over the SS state without energy loss and with proper stat balances.

Would definitely recommend both Beerus and Whis, they'd go really nicely with the RoF figures you've already got.
Beerus is a great figure, easily one of my three favourites in the line even though he has the 1.0 hips
Unfortunately Whis is a bit of a traffic cone due to his skirt but I still think he's a great piece, definitely underrated. His heads and accessories make him probably the most expressive figure in the line

That's why I think the best approach to making the Ginyus is to release the Captain as a single release as he'd be the most sought after and then doing two two-packs for the rest of the team. One with Jeice and Burtur (obviously) and then another with Recoome and Guldo. That way it can be a big guy with a smaller guy per set. I don't see Bandai doing a 4 or 5 character box set but yet I can't really imagine them all getting solo releases (I mean could anyone see Guldo getting a dedicated release?). The Ginyus would be my most wanted characters so I hope something like that could happen, would anyone else buy them like that?

He looks even worse up close/in person. The eBay seller I ordered it from said it was a Datong but it definitely was not. At least it was only $20, but if he wasn't on that stand he not only wouldn't be standing but his legs wouldn't be attached.

Picked up Trunks from Wave 3. I feel like this figure has a few interesting design quirks regarding its head, but everything else is straight-up fantastic.

The articulation is on par with the other figures from the line, the sculpt is really nice, and the accessories are more than enough for $20.

As mentioned above, I feel like the head of this figure is not great thanks to the banana hair and the weird hairline, but if posed correctly, it works REALLY well...

If posed like the Dokkan cards and/or the SS Rage promotional material, the head looks accurate AF.
(Ignoring the banana hair, which can be fixed with a hobby knife and model building techniques.)

I recommend this figure to anyone that likes the Super design for Trunks, or anyone interested in trying out the Dragon Stars line.
(It's not the best Trunks outfit, but it'll do for now)

Sup anons; I'm a somewhat longtime collector, but a very bad poser/photographer, and I'd like to be better.

Just now I made another couple of attempts at posing and would like to ask you all if you could give me some constructive criticism. I struggle especially in making figures stand up by themselves in a cool way, and on the other hand I rarely use the posing stands, because I don't like their look and I'm bad at using them.

Any actual pointers?

Let's hope the pics aren't australia orientation.

I would say here frieza's pose is ok but can't tell if he's shooting or about to shoot. And Vegeta/trunks's legs are way too splayed out right now and they don't look braced to block or shoot a blast. I also think this is shot from a bad angle.

Does Goku's leg on the right need to be that far back? And the arm that is punching needs to be more straignt, and the shoulder lifted higher, then beerus's forearm can be bent a little more to convey impact. And maybe rotate that bicep a little so his guarding arm is facing inward.

Kefla's personality is shit and I can't say I like her, but at the very least she has some kind of personality and can be actually called a character. Broly is everything wrong with Dragon Ball condensed in a single thing: "Hey, he's big and loud and crazy and can defeat everyone and destroy a planet just using his dick, AWESOME!"

I love Dragon Ball but never understood the appeal of Broly, even as a kid it just seemed really dumb to me. Like every single Dragon Ball Z movie, actually. Only good ones are the TV specials of Bardock and Trunks.
