I know Square's track record for figures isn't the greatest, but how are the recent bring arts?

I'm a starved Xenofaggot and I need to know how much I'll regret this purchase.

The Sora is fine. It looks noticeably worse than the alternative bandai made with the usual dodgy glossy face and sloppy paint apps, but its otherwise a solid figure.

Fei at least looks to benefit from having a tan because the face is a huge improvement from their usual. I'll admit I still think it looks a little off, but probably mostly because Tanaka's art just does not translate well to 3D.

Them going back and doing figures from older games makes me hopeful we might get something from games like FFT, CT, or even Brave Fencer Musashi.

i hear the PAKs get "bootlegs" that are from the saem factory at a fraction of the price, so you could always take a gamble on one from ebay when they drop and see if you like it.

A lot of bootlegs nowadays are reallly fucking close to the originals now.

Not him, but I think he just meant the "recent" Bring Arts, ie. the figures that aren't the first release (Sora).

Sora came out fine, although Figuarts exceeds it in terms of paint apps. Don't pay attention to the line myself to know if he's the only one that's currently out.

Face and elbow joints looking like trash was the only thing really wrong with Sora. 2B and Kaine seems to be keeping up that trend. This dude however has a great looking face.

I'd say it's worth taking the risk. I'm almost tempted myself, and I only know Xenogears for its soundtrack.

They're both correct. The Amiami date refers to when the figure will hit shelves in Japan, whereas the one on the Square-Enix webshop refers to when domestic distributors will receive it by. If you preorder on a Japanese site, you'll get it in August, and if you get it on an American site, you'll get it in November.
