Their Star Destroyers are pretty good in terms of usable internal space, but desu that's probably because they nailed the design back in 06 when most of their sets had a decent enough focus on internal playability.

It's one of the tail end sets McFarlane offered before the line got canned.
Shit is getting expensive now, so i'd jump in to getting anything you think looks worth it before it goes over MSRP or 10 times that. see pic.

I actually bought multiples of this set when i found them, because quality bricks that have been nicely weathered for me. Kept them sealed because I'm a hoarder like that and I randomly found out that they were worth a bundle. eBaying some got me my money back on more than half my collection... because I've bought near a thousand bucks worth of McFarlane legos.

This was an easy to part with set, considering it's small and the bricks have a set puzzle design to it. Every other set is much less unique and easier to make into other shit.

Considering most of the pieces for the hospital door set are reused from the towers and cells... yes, you definitely can create a larger hallway.

Seriously, everything McFarlane is basically just reused pieces.
this is just from the prison catwalk set, and i think the only new pieces are the little pillars, yet it makes a very effective street corner of a classy building

I forget if the GAme of Thrones Throne Room reuses parts from the boiler room, but that has brickwork too.

yea, it was great for fodder and had some nice colours, but i never felt like they were definitive versions of the characters, some hero line level detail, focus on the most recognisable look of each character (Mainly the Rio versions of soap and ghost, endgame price, and make Morgan actually look like he did in the game) maybe you could do another pack for the ranger squad from MW3, and an SAS pack from either the prologue of COD4 or the London mission from MW3. Also, like I said i'd like some love for the other games. Some highly detailed WW2 troops from the earlier games (Big Red One had the best cast of characters of any COD game) the Vietnam looks for Woods, Mason,Reznov, Hudson

The only fallen kingdom figures that scale well with mega are the tiny raptors and dilo, the refular sized ones are 1:18. I'm the guy that keeps posting dino pics here, and I think slightly large dinos look great, but they're out of scale.

Also, that line is something else. The fact that we're getting such quality at low pricepoints is amazing. Funnily, the last line that excited me this much was mega's cod.

The allosaur is great. It has issues staying up, though. I'll probably rip the electronics out of mine, so it stays balanced.

Man, and I really wish I had some yard space/open ground to take pictures in. Used to, but we moved. (Bigger, nice place but no really yard.) I've been considering making like a big recessed table full of dirt. I think that would work.

Thanks for the tips. I found the hazmat guy at dollar general today doing a milk run, so I count myself lucky. They had 2x of that motorcycle and 2x of the drone attack sets, but I didnt have the cash for either on hand. I do like the cod figure build better than halo, so may buy a few cod sets.

Don't do that. It's a known issue that the head on some of those figures (mainly the gas mask guys) fit to tight on the ball. Just put the head, let it be for a couple days and it will fix itself. No stressed joints or nothing. No one knows why that happens, but like I said, it's a known issue and that is the best fix.

Excellent set, though. That and the new desert troop packs are some of the best mega has ever done, except for the stupid cheap small terrain. Top notch figs, though.

The black one is from the urban strike set. I dont have many sets. Just the urban and 2x orange hazmat guys. For now. I have 3 figure sets in the mail.

Im also waiting for the yellow hazmat and container to come out. May buy a few more older sets, I kind of want one of the nuketowns or tranzit diner just for a display piece for photos.

They had 2 other sets. Im tempted to go fetch another, but building this wraith is taking all my patience. Its not terrible, just sucks sorting all the pieces. Once I got to the 2nd instructio book, its been a bit easier as there arent as many pieces to sort through to find the odd angled piece and single square tiles.

My progress so far today.

I'm getting worried about Mega being carried by regular stores anymore... I did a shopping run today and made a couple side-trips; there was barely any shelf space for Mega, and those were mostly bare.
I noticed many Target stores are shrinking the toy area to give more space to clothing and grocery (though Lego still has both sides of an entire aisle, plus some shelves in the girls' area); anyone else afraid Mega will die along with TRU?

Target had one cod set and it was one clearance. They had a couple troop buolder sets and 3 building sets.

Walmart had a bunch of the single carded figures and a few sets. About the size of an end cap.

Kind of sucks as Im only just getting into the stuff and its getting phased out.

See, back in the day, troop packs (like the astronaut one) had 5 figures, a care package and a lot of terrain pieces. Mega then changed it to 4 figure s and terrain pieces only. They did this mid production, so you could find sets in stores (like the astronaut one) with 4 or 5 figures.

I know for a fact that the drone has terrain pieces, because I have 2.

Soo it looks like they're cheaping out again and removing piecws from sets mid production.

Another clue is that the package picture you posted has that bike, which is completley new, and that container is also new and it shows only 1 figure with the container, not 2. The current containers have 2 figures.

Goddammit.

Could you post better pictures of the back of the box, and maybe the little catalogue in the instructions, please?

Yeah, it does suck. $10 is kinda high considering it lacks the terrain and newer treads. Buying the icarus set on ebay was confusing as some did show 5, some 4.

Im probably going to calm down on buying after this last ebay haul. There are a few sets I want to get before the price goes insane, but I'll probably stick to discount hunting and a few select purchases from now on. Stuff like the arctic jackrabbit wouldnt normally tempt me, but not bad at a discount.

The cod and halo lines are not in big favor with retailers these days. Stuff is going to ross and ollies while still at walmart and target for full price. Toys r us is going away and they were big contributors to getting larger sets made at all and were mainly the only carriers for anything over 30 dollars. Dollar general is carrying the unwanted leftovers now. Same shit went on with gi joe before it was phased out by hasbro, so were probably going to see the halo and cod lines get axed after this year and more of the other licenses get made.

Maybe with any luck they will pick up more of the heroes line and make some sets for those.
