>>6891463Question is how far in advance do you preorder? I usually preorder when they go up. If you preorder in a delay window, of course it looks like they're not delayed.
>What the fuck are you preordering? I buy about 10 toys a month, always by preordering them, and I have one delay every two months or so.These days? Mostly Fans Toys 3P TFs, Mezco One:12, SHF. I've got XTB Cliffjumper on preorder that I ordered back in 2016 that's still pending.
Recently:
RID Twinferno was delayed 3 months (originally November 2017).
Filmation MOTU was delayed about 5 months (originally November 2017).
FT Arcee is delayed about 2 months so far (originally February 2018).
Mezco WW is delayed 2 months so far (originally February 2018).
Hasbro's a fucking mess with deceptive dates right now. I rarely order anything from them as a result. Mattel was very bait and switch last time I dealt with them. Figma's notorious too. Never had a Mafex or Revoltech ship when I was told either. Don't get me started on DCC or the DCC autist will pitch a fit. Had two really bad experiences with Playmates, both over TMNT. Dragged their feet for 5 months the first time and 13 the second time and then "uh oh Spaghetti-O!" Didn't even bother with their Voltron as a result and _that_ was delayed in a similar embargo-like manner as Hasbro.
Used to be that Diamond was the only one you had to really worry about. I had Wrath of Khan Kirk delayed for six months and thought it was bad. Same with their Stargate SG-1 figures. They shorted my comic shop on a wave of ToyBiz Marvel Legends after 7 months of foot-dragging back in the day. AoU Widow was 3 months late. Not much going on with them these days, doubt they improved.
My POV, you can usually count on Bandai and Takara. Sometimes late June turns into early July or vice versa. Everybody else is a crap shoot.
