>>6897459>When this will die outThe fuck are we, Nos/toy/damus? There's no way that you can predict the winds of culture. If you could, you wouldn't have winners and losers in business, they'd all be winners that could foresee all trends.
Either the trend hopping soyboys and SJWs will get sick of nerd culture and move onto something else (which will tank the industry and cause massive culls that will greatly punish us manchildren as toy companies have to jettison operations like crazy when shareholders revolt over massive year-to-year loses and demand blood) or the giant mega conglomerates that own nostalgia IPs will continue to ride the wave of whatever the fuck is going on out there and make mad bucks playing on the constant infantization (a word I maybe made up according to spellcheck?) of our dying western culture.
Either way, the ship has long since sailed for "your" familiar toy industry of old. If/when the shit you see today ceases, it's going to cause a MASSIVE correction in operations that will destroy tons of stuff along the way, primarily against the things YOU like. You can't have a market shrinkage of that size without proportionate damage, and it always affects the ones left holding the bag, which would be us. So don't pray for those days too quickly, seeing as how all the boom we're seeing now from the awful shit being pushed has in turn created a golden age for everything else with all the excess profit being turned into riskier investments. When that goes... yeesh, bad times.
