It’s them purging stock and it’s based on warehouses. All the stores in that he WV area got glutted with Marvel Legends stock, even old sets like the Cap. Falcon 3 pack. However KY stores I go to got a glut of Transformer exclusives like the Titans Return 5 pack as well as Arcee and Grotesque. It’s where there are no refunds thus no reason to hold replacement stock.

They're a little convoluted, but I honestly never had problems with them. Pretty much just ignore the dedicated thigh swivel and use what you get out of the hip balljoint.

This is all speculation, BUT: I think the sandman wave was made in normal numbers, but it hit right around christmas during the usual retailer period of not ordering anything. So the cases existed, they just weren't in stores. Maybe hasbro cut some deals to get rid of old product, which would explain them coming out of nowhere magically like the GOTG1 stuff.

The lizard wave was most likely being made alongside the sasquatch and IW waves, and they'd obviously make more of the IW one since it ties into the biggest movie in a decade. So I don't know if I'd bet on more turning up.

What a pain in the ass. It's a lot of work and then you're left with a handless figure. Plus, I've heard that the modern formula for RIT dye doesn't work so good on plastic anymore.

Better to just buy a set of black ML hands from China. Yes, they are for sale. YOu'll need to paint your own white squares on the backs of the hands though.

Considering that we don't see any difference in skintone between the lower torso and the thighs, there's a high chance that the lower torso is molded in skintone and the leotard is painted on.

I think it was intended to be more of a slightly articulated statue. As you said, it was an early figure in the line, they weren't really sure of what they were doing at that point.

These recent ML waves got me to decide I wanted to get back into this line. So far I picked up Cable, who is pretty awesome. Got Iron Spider, then I decided I'll probably just of the Avengers stuff so I can build the Jolly Grape Giant.

Would also like to get some of the new Spider-Man wave stuff, but I only saw three or four figures from that wave once, and I have never seen it again. I see a shit-ton of Spider-Man restock, but its all Homecoming wave and the Sandman wave. Which is ok, because I picked up Spidey 2099 too.

Actually I do like that sculpt. Invisible Woman, Silk etc looks like they have qt perky butt in a skintight suit. Hasbro ass sculpt have been pretty decent ever since the moonstone body.

If anybody cares, the Star-Lord/Ego pack is down to $11.98 at Target. 12" Symbiote Spidey has become very scarce but hasn't gone down from $19.98, but looking at the clearance tags on the one I bought, it's been discounted twice: first by 30% then by 50%. The Star-Lord/Ego pack's last clearance tag doesn't have a percent indicated, so I guess it was at final clearance. So maybe the 12" Spidey and the Thor/Valkyrie pack will wind up with another discount next Wednesday.

I have yet to see Lizard or Deadpool waves.

I did catch almost all of The Thanos wave over a few stores, never saw Cap but the only thing seeing them did was remind me I don't care about the BAF or most of that wave. Not event he Iron Man armor and I have a shelf just for IM armor, it's just so bland.

I did get the cool Snake guy to go with my other cool Snake guys and Thanos lady friend.

This is correct. They have a tendency to alter some parts. For instance, Silk's top body portion has the look of clothing in that there's no cleavage. But Ashley Barton, in the same wave on the same buck, has a different chest with a cleavage cut between her breasts. I guess they did the same thing to Psylocke but with less butt, which I don't really understand.

I got lucky and my LCS had just gotten a case in to restock the Lizard wave so I grabbed Noir, Punk, Lasher and Mysterio. Sadly at LCS prices but better than current eBay on Mysterio. Got the green head version, and promptly popped it off and threw a cotton ball in there.

Jokes aside, this sucks. Cyclops has an ass crack. Colossus has an ass crack. Wolverine has an ass crack. Every hero in spandex has an ass crack and Psylocke needs one, even more so given how high cut her outfit is because there's no way the fabric would stay stretched to the sides with that cut. The ass crack is needed in the design. Modern bike rider Black Widow without an ass crack is fine because that's a leather outfit, but this Psylocke just fucking needs the ass crack.

I bought an Iron Spider and Hobo Cap from them today to finish off the Thanos wave before Infinity War because I'm a sucker, but I generally avoid buying from them for the same reasons. The vast majority of Legends end up pretty effortless to find for retail or under anyway.

Shit. I was really excited too, so I went looking for pics again, and....uh, wow. This shit looks like shit. The facesculpt is terrible, the paint apps are slop, and I can't say I dig the look of the sculpted arm hair--his arms look like they're terribly scarred by hundreds of tiny cuts. Why didn't they just do the tampoed on arm hair like on the recent Classics release? That looked great!

I'm fucking bummed. Yellow costume Sniktbub was my absolute favorite thing about the entire Marvel Universe when I was a kid, I was hoping to finally get a good figure of him. And yes, I know the Revo exists, I skipped that because I'm really not a fan of the Astonishing touches they gave the suit.

Figures are put out in the morning around before opening time. During Xmas they are put out overnight.

The only figures that have been popping up at my store in the past few months are manthing wave, hydra 2-pack, and most recently during the last truck, two cases of the Antman 2-pack. You always see grown men and neckbeards come in every day at opening time, browse the Marvel aisle, and leave disappointed. Figures are always scalped the next day. No exceptions. Nothing left behind. The shelfwarmers are gutted for their BAF pieces.

I worked at Target years ago. Don't know if it has changed over the years, but back then the system was automatic.

When stock on the floor dropped below a certain threshold (usually if the location was about 50% empty) the system would update. During the next "drop" time (when the computer/PDAs of the stockroom workers updated) it would then tell them to pull a new case to be put out on the floor. I think it depended on the store, but drop time was every 1-2 hours.

Of course, if we had no more stock/cases in the back, there was nothing we could do, and nothing got put out.

It isn't notifying you that Mysterio or whatever is in stock because it's not $20 online, not because it's already in stock by a 3rd party. Fuck me. I like everything about this. The colors, the proportions, the web pattern, both sets of eyes. I'm interested to see how close it can get to some of the insane poses the Revoltech can pull off but judging from some of these shots it can do some decent poses. Did they announce when pre-orders go up? I'm getting him for sure. I don't own any Mafex's because of the bad QC I've heard about. I do have Gwenpool on pre-order because of how spot on she looks. If this new comic line doesn't suffer QC problems it may be the go to Japanese line for a lot of people. Gwenpool and Spidey look great!

QC was fine for a long while now. Problems from the start of a new brand stick forever doesn't it?

They're still too expensive for what they are though. Super popular Spider-Man can't get below 8000yen then there is a problem. Until Figuarts gets into comics version (and it will happen) I don't think everyone will be satisfied and have a definitive Japanese line.

eh I just ordered mine for 7550yen from Amiami. It is a bit pricey but I don't mind that much. I guess that's just encouraging this kind of behavior and I'm part of the problem but meh, I get a cool Spider-Man figure.
