MASK getting raped like it did showed that Sitterson was not just another hack but part of a concentrated scheme to rape/pervert the entire Hasbro line into SJW garbage. Jem was a pure containment book and the SJW shit in Transformers was done super slowly and (at least in the beginning) done in a way that made you not realize it was being done. The rape of MASK was so fucking in your face that fans, fans realized what IDW was doing and as such were ready when Sitterson (who lacked Robert's willingness to do it so slowly as to not scare the masses) started doing to GI Joe what was done to MASK.
