>>6907010Actually Hasbro is taking direct control over the movies and has tightened control over the comics. That's why IDW fired their EIC and the editor who was in charge of the Hasbro books. Those two were the ones who were behind most of the SJW on these books.
Hasbro was prepared to pull the entire contract with IDW over it last month. IDW brass only caved when word leaked to the corporate investors that other licencors were also threatening to drop IDW. Paramount works closely with Hasbro and they were ready to pull TMNT and Star Trek.
Part of the new deal with IDW is the Transformers reboot. to tie directly into the Generations toyline more closely, with direct control from Hasbro.
Plus movie tie ins now that Michael Bay isn't around to bitch about them. Some of the Cybertronian culture from the MTMTE era will be there, but no SJW. Metroplex-sized foot down on that. Roberts wants to come back, but Hasbro is hoping for all new writers. No one else from the current writing pool will be allowed to return.
Jem and Visionaries won't be back at IDW anytime soon. IDW has ruined the properties and they need a rest.
GI Joe is now limited to media crossovers (like the Six Million Dollar Man mini running now) and whatever Larry Hama wants to do.
Micronauts doesn't sell, but we're letting IDW try again because of the movie and cartoon. Same for MASK. It's on hold till the movie is about to hit.
ROM has potential, so it'll all be back after the Unicron reboot.
MLP, Magic and D&D are Hasbro. D&D works well enough as it is and will be left alone. Hasbro owns the property, but not the Marvel cartoon. That's why H has ignored reviving that story, which seemes like low hanging fruit for a mass market D&D comic.
MLP is rubbish, but gay 40 year old men actually buy it, unlike the other SJW crap that IDW publishes. The next great SJW cause is going full pedo, so Hasbro is watching it closer too.
