Anyone have any experience with this toy line? It's been mostly One Piece characters up til now, so I never bought one before.

The quality is pretty alright on most of them, but the scales are weird - usually a bit too big or too small for other popular figure lines. It works well enough for Lucario where it's only supposed to come up to a human's chest or so, but a towering Amazon Jeanne might be a bit weird. The figma is still available with a little digging and the Nendoroid just got reissued, so I'd go with one of those if you want a Jeanne.

I watched the first anime in like 2008 and tried to play the VN like a year later.

They don't look like them or act like them so what is even the goddamn point?
The plot is over complicated garbage, the characters have no personality and most of the action isn't even very good.

Idk about them but I like the historical aspect of it. For example I never knew of Astolfo and because of fate, looked up the actual person. Fate gives a lot of opportunities to learn by simply googling some names. Now the only issue is whenever I imagine Astolfo, it's always the flesh-fanged, pink haired trap that won't shut the fuck up.

I plan on getting it, but something about the proportions seem a little off compared to the Figma. At 17k yen it might be better getting the GSC scale or waiting for a possible Medicom RAH.

Although i wont be able to make you understand the appeal, re staying power I'll point out that VN-based franchises have more staying power in japan than most random seasonal animes, and Type Moon's VNs in particular, from the Fate verse and otherwise, have a huge amount of staying power.

I'd put the staying power on two major things - the fact that it's part of an interconnected canon with Type-Moon's other stuff (which was already pretty popular), and how fan-work-friendly it is. Especially in the case of Grand Order (which kind of gave the franchise a second wind), it presents you with a lot of unique character concepts and designs but doesn't expand too much on any one of them. This leaves room for fans to fill in the rest with their interpretations, and the rest is history. Same deal with Touhou and Kantai Collection. Also, while it has a bad habit bogging itself down with unnecessary layers upon layers, the basic core premise of the franchise, taking seven ridiculous exaggerated renditions of legendary figures and putting them in a battle royale, is strong.
