None of these toys are heavy enough where the plastic is detrimental to the product's ability to do anything. In fact, it's probably better that they bend the way they do, because you can force poses you normally couldn't.
None of them feel like they're going to break either.
That said, Acid Rain stuff is even more rubbery than anything Hasbro has released. Almost as rubbery as capes and skirts.
I doubt anyone here knows the cost of the plastics though and only think it's more expensive/cheaper because of how more expensive toys tend to use harder plastics... which aren't actually all that great, considering how brittle they can be.
I think this is the only important thing: durability and longevity. So it's safe to say that AR figures are well built, since we're going on like five years or so of this line existing and no one really having any problems with them. Not even plasticizers leaking, despite coming from an armpit country where plastics will degrade crazy fast.
