Got our son all of the 1997 TLW watches off ebay and got em working with new batteries. I had one as a kid so awesome to see him loving them now. Too bad Burger King isn’t doing anything this round.

Well we actually have another of the 3D stegosaurus watches but the screws were too rusted to be able to replace the batteries. He is still happy with the damaged one as he can still wear it. Keep in mind he's 8.

I'm not really a professional customizer so please be kind.

Painting the raptor is pain in the ass because my old true and tested Model Masters Acrylic paint don't work so well (they crack under the rubbery arm). So I had to use dedicated leather paint and the pigment quality and paint rub resistance on these leather paint aint as good as dedicated hobby acrylic paint

I still have the raptor eye one boxed. Shit was cash to get. I also got it right after watching the movie on theatre with my parents, good memories.

Is this motherfucker easily the worst raptor mold of the bunch? Because I feel like it is.

Not in terms of quality, mind you, but that pose. Despite the articulation it has, it has exactly one pose you can put it in that looks good, a really low to the ground 'about to spring' pose. But that's it, any other posing attempts makes it look dumb as hell.

The Attack Pack Blue counterpart to it may not have more points of articulation, but I feel like it's way easier to make it do other things without looking goony just because of having it's neck and spine at a more neutral angle. Battle Damage Blue trumps both, especially with that amazing neck joint.

I don't have the pull-back-to-leap raptors, but I assume they're pretty okay since they seem to have a neck joint as well.

tl;dr: I hope that green generic Attack Pack raptor ends up being the only one that uses that mold.

Or, B - Very basic articulation (legs, arms.) but this line does have some pretty innovative stuff in terms of JP (Ball Joints, pulling the legs sideways at different angles, and head poseability) The Extreme Chomping T-Rex is actually an awesome example of posing and articulation done right

So, Roarivores. They look nice so I've been tempted to get some, but I can't get over one thing.

Their mouths just fucking hang open and make them look like a perpetually shocked cat or something. Or like if you just stuck on some mini googly eyes they'd be instant physical reaction images.

Is there some way to get their mouths to stay closed without just gluing them and ruining half the point, or like a less ridiculously gaping kind of open at least?

I kind of assumed the logical thing for a roaring dinosaur toy was that their mouth would default to closed, but then you push a button and it opens for the roar, and also doubles as a bite. Why are these the opposite?
