Because almost all of those are great. Much better done than everything Mattel has ever made and they improved with each wave, unlike Mattel.
This is probably the most modern thing Mattel has ever made and it still looks like shit compared to what DCD did with its first wave.

I actually collect DCD/DCC figures. This line deserved better considering DCC's previous output on their 6.75" lines (DC New 52/Villains, Greg Capullo, Arkham games etc.) and the fact that you're able to draw comparisons to Mattel's DCUC shit shows just how badly DCC botched the line.

DCC deserves the criticism to get their shit together, because they can and SHOULD be doing better.

They didn't just reuse the Crime Syndicate line engineering.
Did they lose the factory and molds or a suit with Hasbro for the engineering? Those were the best DC figures I've ever seen and they just dropped them after the line's Joker.

Exactly this. The body molds for the Crime Syndicate line were phenomenal and the articulation were miles ahead of DC Icons. Apply the joint QC fixes they implemented in their later stuff and they'd have made a solid line had they continued them.

What the fuck were they thinking?

They're better than Capullo's series though. Double jointed, large range of motion and pull down hips. And the line did get better as it went along.
Stuff like this is slightly better than Mattel's DCUC crap, in terms of engineering. However, the great sculpt and almost everything is unique to the mold makes it superior to Mattel's shit.
