That won't be classic Supes. Batman's Revo is based on the New 52 suit so Superman will probably be the same. It's a shame, too, because while New 52 Bats was at least an alright design, Supes was bullshit.

This comes up every so often on /toy/. I've been searching for the definitive Classic Superman figure for years and it doesn't really exist, but these are the best ones.

IMO the Mezco is the best of the four but they're all worthwhile.

DC Direct (2003) Superman looks cool but I'm iffy on the chin.

DC Universe Classics Superman was my go to for quite some time, but he's kinda limited because it's the 4 Horsemen Body with the stupid hips and giant pecs. Sadly, my copy's yellowed.

NECA Vs Ali looks nice. Not sure I'd put him as my main superman due to the paint style.

MEZCO's rather baggy looking and if he's like my other MEZCO 1:12th, probably quite limited as well.

NECA Reeves is actually my main Classic Superman at the moment.

NECA Reeve is a fantastic figure, but I don't consider him "Classic" Superman in that he's not based on the comics version of Superman.
The Ali 2-Pack Superman uses the same exact body mold as the Reeve Superman so if you own one you basically already own the other.

Personally, a good Supes collection has to include the DC Direct Showcase Presents Supes. Perfect Curt Swan art look with additional pieces to make big brain, bug, and lion Supes.

Gotta love Lion Supes.

The Mezco one mops the floor with any Superman released so far, that's a fact.
If you think some DC Direct/Collectables/Mattel/NECA are anywhere near as good as the Mezco, you're delusional.
Accessories, sculpt, articulation etc etc all better in the Mezco, unless Mafex pulls a classic Superman out of their asses, the Mezco so far is the definite 1/12 Classic Superman

Yeah, I would agree. It isn't the best figure Mezco has ever released and a few choices they made annoy the shit out of me, but it's still far and away the best Classic Superman figure released so far.
That said, God I hope Mafex throws their hat in the ring. The Classic Spider-Man gives me hope.

I still prefer the dcsh figure if just for the headsculpt. The upcoming dc vs aliens was looking to be the perfect superman figure but looks like its cancelled which really sucks.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. While it is a good figure, I seriously have to question what they were thinking with the lack of a smiling head, not to mention the awful embossed S-shield. I can do without the deflecting bullet effect parts if it means making the shield look like a wax seal that's been hastily glued on.

If we're being absolutely nitpicky, I can't say there's a classic Supes better than the 13" DC Direct figure released a decade ago. The one with the additional Clark Kent costume, not the initial release.

That's the problem I have with almost every Superman figure. I just wanna put a smiling Supes on my shelf, but the best I can do with what's out there is a somewhat disgruntled looking neutral expression.

What was so wrong with it? That figure looked just how Spidey should, is crazy poseable and came with alot of accessories.
