Another toy I used to have. It used to talk and say, "Be like me! Put your nose in a good book!" and after years of pressing the button it stopped working eventually. I still miss that toy somewhat because it brings back good memories. When I went to the doctor they would have TV sets with built in VHS players and they would let me watch Wishbone on VHS while I waited for the doctor to come.

I have vague memories of playing with those toy kitchen sets, like in the picture, and my dad arguing with my mom about letting me play with them since they're for girls and would turn me gay

When I was 3 or so, my mom took me to a garage sale and I remember throwing a fit because I wanted a naked Barbie doll that someone was selling. My mom got really embarrassed and took me home right away and gave me a lecture about how those were only for girls.

I just wanted to play with the pretty naked lady.

Something similar happened to me, but with an old Mary-Kate and Ashley tape in a video store. I remember feeling such deep, raw shame as a result. That was pretty fucked looking back.

I have a bunch of G1 Transformers but they were hand-me-downs in 92-93.
Oldest remembered toy would probably be this, or the generic Godzilla figure everyone had, or the Sears' catalog Simon Says knockoff.

Micro Machines in general played the biggest role in my love of miniatures. Super Van City was an amazing thing to unwrap Christmas morning as a 5 year old.

My only real "old" toys are Fistful of Aliens. Got about 20 aliens, four ships (three red, one green), and a few of the larger mutants. I loved the shit out of them, but I lost a bunch in a move a long time ago. Really wish I had a chance at getting that mail in order Jangutz Khan one. Don't have a photo of them, since I packed them safely away. I've played with them so much as a kid that I think a few of them are worn out. I know I had one that doesn't have a number on its foot anymore.
