>>6949268>>6949319He's just triggered because people have been rightfully calling toys like MP Megatron, Sunstreaker and Dinobot clusterfucks, and he doesn't like to imagine that Takara can do any wrong. Same as the people who try to claim MP-10 has the same level of cartoon accuracy as MP-36. Just ignorant people who are too afraid of critical thinking and comparison because it reeks a little too much like insubordination of their favorite toy company.
>>6949075People have been bitching about MP-10 for years. While a many seem to love it, there are plenty of naysayers, even from the beginning, and even more now. I personally like it because it represents a better aesthetic choice than the newer MPs have. MP-10 was like a tour-de-force of some of the best Prime concepts to date. He had details from the cartoon like the matrix chamber and his overall structure, but his vehicle mode and windshield chest, as well as the colors were more in line with the toy. He had the silver shin vents which aren't technically canon on any version, only in promotional artwork. His folding gun storage idea came from right from the pages of IDW. It always baffles me when people try and claim the MP line was always about 100% cartoon accuracy and nothing else. I think it used to be about cartoon accuracy as a basic blueprint, and then taking ideas from other places where cartoon accuracy might be somewhat lacking or require too much engineering, whereas now they will simply always choose cartoon accuracy, even at the cost of looking good or having reasonable engineering.
It makes me really sad. Back then I was hyped that the MP line seemed like it was going to make idealized versions of every character, with all the best bits. Now it's just like "gosh, I hope you like paying $140 lazy korean animation models"
