>>6966587>So am I wrong or are they re-using the same body for EVERYTHING?The bulk of the body, yeah. Looks about consistent with Hasbro's ML body recycling from RoML to last year, except there's like jackshit for accessories and no BAF parts with Essentials. And they'll probably raise the MSRP within 2 years, guaranteed.
>Do you think the feet can at least be swiveled side-to-side instead of pivot onlyIt looks like the ankle is a free floating double joint akin to what SHF uses on a few of their lines (like Kinnikuman), which swivels at the top and hinges/rocks at the bottom. Could be mistaken, though. And it might be redundant, since they include calf swivels in the lower legs anyways.
>>6966648Back in the days of Direct they were all about reusing bodies. Look at the Ed McGuinness stuff, and how often the Alex Ross Batman and Superman bodies saw reissue with a new head. So I'm not surprised to see it.
They probably learned their lesson with the costs behind Icons and realized that frankly there isn't enough media synergy (and in turn, consumer support) with DC as a brand right now to justify that type of approach. If they can maintain an okay ratio for more "deluxe" sculptural releases (i.e. for every 3 straight repaints like Flash/Nightwing/Green Lantern you get one Aquaman) I think the majority of people won't mind.
