Is this worth the cost? (about $100 where I'm finding it)

I'm not very familiar with the show (saw one episode, ever) but I like this guy a lot and he looks like he'd make a cool toy andfapmaterial. WOULD prefer if he had a squirrel accessory, but like... is it a good figure? I know nothing about this line.

Nothing against people who buy toys blindly (I am one myself), but idk, it might be good to at least skim a wiki article about him or something if you don't intend to watch/read JoJo.

SAS are very, very high quality toys, nothing to worry about there. Not overly fragile for a Japanese toy, but handle it with care nonetheless, this isn't something you can toss around like a Hasbro toy. I don't own Kars personally but I've heard nothing but good things about this figure.

I intend to eventually watch it, but I generally buy toys on character design, or on a character-to-character bases as opposed to wanting a full collection or just wanting anything I can get from something I like. I happen to really like this guy's character design.

Dunno if I'd say he's worth $100, if only because you can definitely find him for cheaper with a little patience and detective work (Mandarake is your friend when it comes to out-of-production Japanese figures). But yeah, SASes are lovely figures - the articulation isn't perfect, but it's still a lot more than you'll get out of most American figures, and the paintjobs are gorgeous (not so much with the most recent releases, but Kars is older so you'll be fine). And I'd definitely recommend watching/reading JJBA when you get the chance, it's a fun ride.

It's pretty strange, as you might gather from the title, but it tells a good story. Part 1 is pretty slow, Part 2 is better (this is the part with Kars), but Part 3 is where shit really picks up and is generally the most well-known and most beloved part. If you're finding Parts 1 and 2 too hard to get into, give 3 a try and then go back and watch the others. They're relatively self-contained tales anyway.

Also, I dunno if you'll make it this far, but if you do...Part 4 is my absolute favorite. It takes all the globetrotting adventures and bizarre fights of the earlier series, and transplants them into a slice-of-life small town high school setting. It's fucking amazing.

It's not that bad/overwhelming once you jump in. Every part pretty much follows a different generation of the same family. So Part 2 features Part 1 protag's son, etc.
