Fact of the matter is, it was written by people who wanted stronger female characters in their movies. Was it for sjw reasons? Maybe, but that genuinely does not matter if it's executed correctly. Problem is, they overdid it into Sue territory and neglected to make the male characters on the same level.
Now, where we disagree is that I'll bring up the latter point, but /pol/ and /tv/ will harp on the stronger female aspect because they genuinely do not like women above eye candy or support roles. And don't tell me they do not because I go to /v/ and it's frequented by people spouting memes from both boards who literally cannot shut up when a woman in a video game doesn't have tits, ass, or a cute face(and don't think I'm defending Battlefield because fuck revisionist history.)
And if you do happen to think there's some kind of actual conspiracy, riddle me this: Why the FUCK would Disney willingly alienate their target demographic? They're about money and greed and nothing else. Forget about gender politics bullshit, politics in general DO NOT MATTER to a supercorporation unless it affects their bottom line. It's clear that, if anything, they thought they could expand the target demographic but fucked it all up through poor execution. And before you point fingers at the writers or Kennedy, why the fuck would they jeopardize the job of a lifetime to knowingly stir controversy? If they did anything for feminist disposition it was subconscious or because they thought it was a good thing.
>and people are starting to realize bub.The only thing people are "realizing" is that the most vocal critics are absolute bastards with backwards views and low IQs, and being put under the impression that those criticisms are rooted in these bastards' personalities.
