>>6962805Good designs, solid Star Wars story in the first one at a time when fans just really really wanted that due to how garbage the prequels were turning out to be and the second is one of the best written video games of all time and handles ideas that other parts of the series wish they could tackle with as much nuance.
Combine that with both games having a great and varied cast of characters and it's just kinda a given that it turned out so popular.
Shame we never got a third game that finished the story.
