>>6970992The new kind of dino damage is fine because you can make it pop open instantly with your attacking dino once you get how the pressure works, instead of having to kind of mash things more and hope things work out in the way you're imagining. It's really easy to control, and also, I love not having a separate piece to lose.
Also I grew up with the old dino damage, it was always one of those things where it was super fascinating for five minutes, and then I forgot about it and just played with them in every other way, and then got mad when I lost the flesh plug.
Basically I feel like the new dino damage is a perfectly fine sidegrade to the old kind at least. Maybe we can at least agree that the Jurassic World dino damage was butts, though, half the dinosaurs just looked like they were enemies in a zombie game.
