I dont have an experience with Starwars figures, But maybe having something like "stairs" to display the figures, they have alot of space above them
maybe not made of card board, but with that the figures in the back will not get obscure by others.

At bare minimum: consolidate, and invest in some risers. At the scale you collect you can't really pull off any dynamic ppses. With some of the Lego vehicles you can probably remove a side to reveal with the insides look like.
Down the line may want to invest in some proper display cases or shelves if displaying your stuff is something you really want to do. A lot in one area looks busy and unappealing

Shouldn't be too difficult to do. If your good with cutting straight you could probably use some thick sheets of crafting foam to make frame work struts and greebles for hanger walls.

I like it! A few suggestions for the colleciton

Get some risers for the back of the shelf so you can have two rows of figures, with the back row being slightly higher. The figures bending around the corner looks a lil weird

Also once you do that you'll have way more space, so give each figure a more dynamic pose

Other then that you have a really nice mix, it's not just all jedi or troops

-Break figures of characters into smaller groups 'droids, Imperials, Rebels,etc) and spread them out. You have way too much empty space on that shelf.

What I do is have the occasional figure as a standalone on my shelf, but have the others in some sort of vignette. (The Thinker posed as is, Several figures gathered around a desk, Several with instruments, like a group of buskers, a couple at a table eating, etc.) It just helps break up the monotony.

Here's an example of one of my shelves.
(Seeing it like this, I realize I need to space things out some more. It's a bit bunched up at the moment.) Things don't necessarily have t be lined up in a straight line. Unless you are doing troop formation display or some thing like that.

Yeah I know shit pic, but all I have on hand right now is a shitty old webcam. But you get the idea.
