Movies are bankrupt of any creative depth and the actors are just soulless money making husks that are trained to do paparazzi world tours and press conferences and pose in magazine spreads about CURRENT WORLD SOCIAL ISSUES in between learning the bare minimum about whatever fucking character they're being paid a fortune to "be" for 3 months at a time. They don't give a shit. Alec Guiness is probably the most real motherfucker when it came to how much disinterest and down right disdain he has for roles like these, where you're propped up to be some impressionable shit head kid's role model because you spoke a bunch of lines from a fucking script.
But oh no, now instead of a white actress who doesn't give a fuck about the characters I love, it's now a dirty BLACK! That changes the whole dynamic!
Fuck, who even cares at this point about movies, or the casting, or any other element that requires an emotional investment? They're not for -you- or for anybody you know, they're made to be money generators and whatever property they plaster as a veneer over the phoned-in script is incidental, but people are often too fucking dumb to understand that because they mistake an ability to generate sequels as a sign of quality. Make all the characters talking dogs and you haven't ruined or diminished 9/10 of all stories made in the last 35 years because there's genuinely no humanity left in cinematic craft. That should say SOMETHING, right?
