TPM was hyped up as the second coming and but it wasn't, it was just another super huge movie series that fed the franchise for over a decade.
Nothing about that is terrible. Star Wars was a mainstay toyline at toyshelves with countless lines and nearly every year having 1/2-1/3 of the aisle to itself.
>LFL limped along for almost a decade STop comfirming you're a retard.
They made tens of billions of dollars in that time, that's over a billion dollars per year, and it's why they got sold for only 4 billion dollars, despite almost solely producing a single franchise. And 4 billion is a hell of a deal, because Lucas didn't want anything to do with it anymore.
To compare, Marvel, which has over a dozen franchises worth of characters, was sold for 4 billion too. This was right after the huge success of Iron Man too, and just plain successful Hulk movie. Plus, toylines out the butthole.
