When the fuck does that ever happen with toys? Maybe during the KBtoy's era where shit actually went on clearance, but not since the late 90's has toy shopping been like this.
Miss out retail and its Ebay as the only option. Where do you shop that action figures drop by "a little"?

Things that haven't moved for a long time will get reduced to clearance prices at Walmart and Target, also they sometimes DO have sales on certain brands during Christmas and shit. If Toys R Us hadn't gone under, they surely had seasonal sales for Black Friday & Christmas at least, though I don't remember them putting things on clearance all that often.

I do agree that with popular items its better to get them right away rather that wait for the chance to get them on sale as popular items disappear before they're likely to get a price reduction.
