how do you attach the second and other upper rows for this kind of roof?

I don't see any pegs in the flipper holes. My first reaction was 1x1 tiles with a clip on top. I can't really see those either but they would be less visible than pegs.

I can get the bottom row working, I used 1x1 tiles with clips
what I'm asking is how do I effectively attach the upper rows on top of the bottom row - I tried using battle droid arms to connect the tubes but it didn't really work

the bottom 4 sections look mostly in line with each other. maybe just a 1 by X tile with 1x1 w/clips attached? there must be a ton of different ways to do it. it's possible that nothing connects them and each layer just rests on top of the previous.

Just finished working on a re-imagination of Jay's Electromech, using one of chubbybots' base. The base isn't that visible since I've only used it as a starting point and modified most of it. Only the core torso is here, the rest is from me.

it's cool and i like the palmtree arms (though i don't think they come in grey)
you should set the option for ldd so it has outlines on the bricks though it's hard to look at

Pretty cool, the thighs especially. Having bought a ton of mixel joints only recently, though, I don't know that triceps piece. Where's it from?
Also, I think giving the fig a helmet of sorts would help, because his head looks a little small.

Yup, they come in light grey in at least two bionicle set. It helps being a bionicle fan, sometimes. However, I did use dark bluish grey and this kind of grey isn't available so still, thanks for the heads up.

Oh and yeah, I definitely activated the outlnes so it's less agressive to the eyes.

Thanks. They are needed to attach the palm tree piece, since I need to use a 3M bar to attach it to the shoulder. Funny you said that, since I was contemplating modifying a bit that section like in pic related. I need to verify if that has enough friction to work, though.

The quality of basic parts looks good enough.

But not everything's compatible, like the bars/clips/hole parts are slightly off dimensionally, and the translucent colors are crap.

un-modded set has technic beams going all the way through. My version obviously don't but pieces aren't falling off. I can lift whole ship holding cockpit section only and nothing breaks. However If I shake it up and down while holding like that - the section breaks into a gap (but the bricks are still in their places and can be easily pressed back)

Nearing the end of the great sorting. Minifigure stuff is a big mess but everything else is pretty well done. Man BrickLink categories can be far from inuitive from a building perspective. Now just to get some drawers. I’m guessing two Akron Mills or Stack On units should handle this and the handful of off camera bags.

I'm not into capeshit enough to want capeshit legos, but the DC minifigs are consistently charming. I think it's because the Marvel minifigs tend to have scowling face printing.

Either way, I'm happy that people who wanted DC figs have gotten so many characters. I always love seeing pictures of them!

I dunno about that 2x4, but why the hell haven't you used Technic + 4865 wall pieces to secure that Wii sensor bar yet? Technic shit LOVES them bolts an screws. I had a Samsung SyncMaster 940MW rigged with a load of beams screwed to the VESA holes, until I was bequeathed an ancient WEGA P42SX1. I didn't like the set at first either, waited to get it on discount because I'm a fan of the theme. I liked it more than I thought I would. The colors are drab for sure, but I liked the small side builds and the jestro head part of the main build was pretty fun. Really just the back half of it with the cage crane seemed unnecessary to me and that is mostly for play.

I'll tell you what I was told when I started. Focus on selling Minifigures. They are cheap enough to ship and they have a decent amount of value. Bricks aren't bad, but you'll end up doing a lot more work for less money overall. I started by buying a few sets on clearance and listing all the parts and figs. I added stuff from my collection that I didn't want after that. Almost all my orders have included a figure or figure parts.

I was stupid and started with parting out couple of different sets and then a bunch of CMF. Needless to say, it took a while for someone to buy the actual parts. But I'll completely agree with others that minifigs are important. Once when I found Fun in the park discounted, people bought almost all of the minifig parts instantly.

In all honesty I just watched the video j2g made. If you go to a video on the channel it says they were taken down due to copyright infringement. Clear drawers you can pull out when you wanna build. Clear so you can look under them instead of having to dig for a piece.

And yes, it's better to sort by color because it makes it SO much easier and quicker to build MOCs than if you sort by part and have to pull 93+ drawers to build one thing.

And really, who has the time to sort that specifically, and an empty three car garage to dedicate to 40,000 drawers with a handful of pieces in each of them? It takes a really sad loser with an empty life and no creativity or ideas for MOCs to sort that specifically.

Not him but generally when I build something I pull out the colors I want it to have and work with what I got. The only things I separate are stuff like clips, hinges, wheels, gears, etc. The majority is by color.

I mean, if you build a lot, it simply makes sense, having to dig through a drawer where everything is the same color is difficult, when instead you could just spot said color among others. It gets worse if you're not sure what color a piece comes in

I'm going to a local bi-monthly vintage toy convention that occasionally has some good deals in klocki, wish me luck anons! There was a complete Castle Skeleton Surprise in an immaculate box for 15 euros last time around and I blame myself for having skipped it to this day, hopefully I'll find more deals as good as that one.

Aaaaand I'm back, paid 20 euros for the sets and 6,50 for the minfigs. I'm not into either Chima or NinjaGo but both of these seem to have a decent amount of parts for 10 euros each, so I'll definitely keep them around for MOCs. As for the minfigs, it's just neat to get something from the classic space themes even if they aren't necessarily rare.

Not that guy, but: it's funny (not hilarious though, don't get me wrong), it's fantastically animated, it's pretty creative, and all the characters are super likeable. Essentially, it doesn't do anything AMAZING, but it's still the best at what it is: Dick Figures for kids.

Still, it's very much the kind of show that doesn't appeal to everyone. I mean, children's cartoon sitcoms aren't exactly popular with adults to begin with.

Just finished NC last night and it's probably the best build experience I've ever had. With the modulars, the detailing is really nice, but stacking bricks over and over for walls gets a bit repetitive. NC has so many different sections and techniques that you're constantly mixing things up so it never gets boring.
