Thanks! It’s literally just Umarak with a few mods that aren’t even mine lol but it fit the color scheme well and I knew at some point I wanted this big demon that the Blacktron II cult worshipped to show up so it’s just kinda part of the display now.

Remaking the original yellow castle, but corrupted.

See, in my canon, this castle is special. The color of the bricks reflects the heart of who rules it. A wrathful king might turn it red, a king who's envious of other lands would turn the bricks green, etc. There was originally one king that ruled the golden castle and everything was prosperous until the day he died and everyone fought over who would succeed him. (I never had the original set or anything, this is just story) They all broke off into their own factions like the Black Falcons, Crusaders, Royal Knights etc. and the old castle was left behind, forgotten by time. The Black Monarch, however came back and reclaimed it since his own castle was btfo and he went into hiding. The bricks slowly changed from gold to black to match the evil in his heart. The build would end up looking like a gradual change and not exactly like this set, but the main idea, just bigger and better-looking. They have some bootlegs of modern Black Falcons on AliExpress, so I was thinking of getting those too. I only had a few Black Falcons as a kid, but ever since the Kingdoms joust set, I got interested in them again and wanted them to become a major antagonist in my world. They're like the Blacktron of Castle.

Not really a MOC, but adapters for the TDN module to connect to other Galidor/system parts. I have a decent idea of how I want it to work, but I just need to find a reasonably priced copy of the set before I can really start on it.

A modular terrain system for a haunted mansion, along with a plucky gang of junior detectives to investigate it. heh,well...
My problem is mostly that I can't seem to finish big builds. After one or two days of building I get a new idea and start something else. Also I'm far too critical of myself and I always want my mocs to look the best they can but also be completely functional as playsets. I've got so many cool plans and half finished mocs lying around...
The main things I want to build are an industrial space ship with interior, a big Requiem-inspired vampire castle and a comfy arctic explorer vehicle with interior that looks like pic related.

This was actually the first option I've used. I won't change the horns, since I like how they have the same kind of shape as the wings, but I could understand not liking them. Also, here it is with the teeth on one foot, so you can see how it looks. I feel like they make the foot a bit too one-dimensionnal.

I’m glad you enjoy! I ended up writing a lot more of the story over the semester (even adapting part of it into a poem for class) so I may continue from where I left off? At any rate I want to explain the whole Blacktron II cult and the government agency Jake and Maddie left.

I was bored and tried a few different feet.
But I gotta admit, after not liking the "winged" feet at first they grew on me. I definitely get what you mean with one dimensional, they can easily look like boring blocks if there's nothing sticking out.

I'm moving in a few days so the klocki is packed and being shipped to my new place. Once I'm settled I've come to realize that I'm going to need to build a new city and not another generic "Lego City". I think I shall call it Brick Bay. I also realize I'm going to need to retcon quite a few pieces of my headcanon as shit has gotten way out of hand.

Everything, really.
I start on a lot of MOC modulars but never manage to finish them since I either just get tired of them or decide to start building something new.
Even with smaller MOCs like cars I end up bringing very few out of LDD, either due to not feeling they're good enough or Bricklink being a hassle where I live.
I'm planning on making a train, at least. Who knows when that'll be done.

Haven’t seen Gravity Falls yet but I have see Twin Peaks. That was sort of an inspiriation till I realized I don’t like Twin Peaks lol but thank you

As for the Destroyer, while this should probably go in Bio/g/ the only real original mod I made was that Maddie is actually secured in the Destroyer with some studs. Partially it was story reasons but also I didn’t want to lose the minifigure. I might modify it more to make it less Umarak and more Destroyer but for now it serves its purpose well.

Also I kinda want to show off the build of this overrun Doom cover knock off some more - there’s a lot of Spears mainly so the minifigs (which consist of the final Nexo wave villains, the demon-y Nexo wave Villains, a skeleton and an Outrider) are all secured. Really only two minifigs aren’t held in by a stud or a clip - the snake lava demon chick and one of the Technomancer Blacktron guys (the one getting a shotgun pointed at his head). The chain was meant to be like a spine or guts or something however I didn’t realize till I already committed to the idea that it was trans orange, not red. I don’t think it’s too distracting though but then again I’m a little biased here. Wish I had gone with a different helmet for Jake especially since he already borrows a lot of Black Knight pieces but it’s hard to find a sci-fi helmet that covers the face AND fits around that Hero Factory chest armor.

The ziploc bag has a partially built AT-DP, couple of the bags weren't even opened. Can't tell if it's all there (only the normal stormtrooper appears to be present out of the set's 4 figs) but I don't plan on building it anaywy.

The only downside is that if you want to hold a lot of weight (say, the weight of that 1953 Fairlington Conservative) you can't use Mixel joints and sticky tack and you need to rig up something with a long anchored 2x16 plate and a hidden fulcrum and be okay with the 2x16 plate bending at an almost 45° angle.

I hope to overcome this problem in the near future using a non-Lego solution I've been planning out that's more in line with how Lego posed models for their product catalogs.

Armor options aren't a concern as much, my problem is I need the back studs (for winged minifigs) which pretty much none of those parts (that don't also have armor on the front) have.

I want to preserve just the edge of the "wings" on the front so unfortunately trying to chop it all off isn't gonna work, but if an X-Acto is usually enough to get it done I can work with that. I was trying an X-Acto earlier and not making much progress, but the blade really needs sharpening.

I've used a dremel with a cutoff wheel before, but that gave a really rough edge. The cloth polishing wheel worked to smooth it out most of the way.

For what it's worth I think you nailed the look of a heavy postapocalyptic vehicle there. The exhaust pipe not connecting to anything at the bottom bugs me a little, aside from that it's excellent.

I like the tall angled brick for the nose. The other anon is right about the pipes, though. You've got what looks like three sets of pipes (counting the flickfire missiles), two of which don't connect to anything, and one that seems to run directly from front to back without serving much purpose.

Try removing the top flickfire missiles, building something to plug the bottom pipes into, and attaching the long flex tubes to the sides rather than directly pointing forward.

Yeah the limited parts selection for even something as generic as a city theme assblasts me. Lego really comes off as stingy for any of their big themes; its as you said, its always using the bare minimum of pieces to make bare minimally completed kits.

The smaller, cheaper sets seem to have Lloyd and Kai the most, followed by Cole. Did they choose them as their favorite because their parents would be more likely to buy those sets or did they make them the cheaper ninjas because of fan reaction? Which came first?

Neat. I opened up this thing's rear so it can just barely hold 6 minifigs in the back, along with the two up front. I wish there were more official sets that could fit a bunch of minifigs in a small space. The First Order Snowspeeder and the little Imperial Dropship with the Shadow Trooper are good ones.

I can't wait for a series of dull licensed minifigures from one of the dullest franchises in the history of movie franchises. Seriously each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.

I'm a bit interested in picking up these blocks again after a 10 year absence. I've made some stuff in LDD and read that you can link the program to a site where it allows you to add all the blocks used to your cart for easy shopping. Skipping the process of finding the pieces individually.
Should I do that or purchase kits from a store and work from there?
