Share your stories about the best thing you have ever gotten in terms of price or rarity.

Mine was finding a Complete Chogokin Spec EVA-01 at my local thrift store for 15 dollars.

I had it when I was a kid but it was stolen, it was a relief to find it for just 12 dollars considering how rare it is.

It's still a shit figure, though. I spent hours fixing its balljoints.

20 years after it came out and for cheaper than it originally was priced at in stores.

It went from being $100 mint in package to $70 loose.
I'm not sure if i kept his package, so he's worth even less.

I was always johnny on the spot for getting MOTUC stuff cheap on mattycollector and elsewhere, since my job started a bit later than normal and I was able to sync up my searches with pacific time zone site updates in the mornings. He-Man for $17, Battle Cat for $28, Rattlor for $13, Oo-Lar for $19, Roton for $60, Point Dread for $48... My MOTUC collection is easily worth $3K and I spent a fraction of that acquiring it.

Similar to you I obtained a new Chogokin Eva-02 at a local store. It wasn't nearly as cheap though, ended up being 70, but considering how much it normally sells for I think it wasn't half bad a find.

Local junk shop got a load of toys in, so I went to check it out. Lo and behold, not only the complete G2 Bruticus set, but a MOSC G2 Slingshot. Pristine package and bubble on all them. I ended up selling Brutes for 350 on Ebay (Dunno why), but that Slingshot is packed away in a glass case. Sling was 6 bucks.
