>>7006610This. If a dollar makes or breaks you, toys might not be a good hobby for you.
>>7006673This too. Morons think TRU charged MSRP. They actually charged the same as Target. Well below MSRP.
Funny that you don't see complaints about KB, which actually was more expensive. But they went under 9 years ago. Maybe the average /toy/ soldier was still getting toys from Mommy and Daddy then.
What's really funny is how bad peoples' money management skills are that they think driving to Walmart to find any empty shelves over and over and over is "cheaper" than the alternatives. The closest Walmart is 25 miles away from home and 10 miles out of the way on my commute to/from work. If the average car gets 25 mpg, and gas sits at about $3 bucks per gallon, the cost of a trip to Walmart is between $1.50 and $6.
Now you look at the price of Marvel Legends:
Walmart - $18.84 ($19.97 taxed)
Target - $19.99 ($21.19 taxed)
TRU - $19.99 ($21.19 taxed)
GameStop - $22.99 ($24.37 taxed)
KB (hypothetical) ~ $22.99 ($24.37 taxed)
BBTS - $28.99 shipped
Assuming an average of $3.75 transit, it takes 3 trips to Walmart for the cost to exceed BBTS. I _wish_ I was batting .300 with Walmart. Judging by the complaints about distribution and (largely imaginary) scalpers, it sounds like alot of people are batting even lower.
For me, Target and TRU both have/had higher success rates, such that a second trip to Walmart usually negates any pricing advantage. In layman's terms, WALMART ACTUALLY COSTS MORE.
So this fixation on "saving" a dollar at Walmart is really just retarded.
