That yellow jean grey has a shitty head sculpt and hips. I just use my Juggs Phoenix with the Dark Phoenix calm head, so unless Hasbro releases a yellow jean grey with that head sculpt, I’m not really interested. I’d be surprised if we didn’t see another one at some point, or a straight rerelease of Archangel which was made around the same time.

Yeah I was a bit hasty in my response. I guess you could do both of her fists for uniformity, but it would be goofy. I have the AIM soldier trigger hand on mine for a better optic blast pose and it's not likely to come out without heat or breaking it, so i didnt bother checking.

It would have been nice to get the actual gun he used in the movie but at least there's a rifle in the set he can use.

If the screens are to be believed, then you're probably going to get everything under the sun. I don't know how many will have the og helmet or parts, but I'm sure the mafex will have em if there is one from them. Alternatively you can just buy a recast head.

Just got a bootleg IRON SPIDY from China. Not too bad for 32 bones. The arms fall out if you try to pose them and one of the legs in his back is stuck. But all in all I’m happy

The legends spidy is disappointing though. Only has thwipping hands and no iron legs. Honestly you guys should wait till a better one comes along from hasbro or mafex. On the other hand he feels really solid compared to this knock off.

It's the same cut-swivel, only sculpted different.

Looks the same, completely static molded neck with a ball hinge on top.

Yeah they are less bulbous, but I kinda doubt they offer much more range of movement.

>Shoulders
They both have butterfly joints, I guess it's just a little less ugly on the new one.

All I'm saying is that they really haven't changed much. The base body is sculpted a bit better, but there haven't been much strides in the actual engineering.

I might get him for that price just to leave him in his packaging. I have the original version of that figure with the full assortment of hands so I don't actually care about the figure, but the retro packing is so nice, it's worth being on display.

I like the Cap figure, but the head is indeed the worst part. The clip on shield is also a low point imo, Wrist straps works so much better and just look cooler.

Are there any options for better heads out there? Something from another Cap figure or a casting site? In that vein, are there any better heads for the Marvel Legends Gwenpool? I got the figure to finish off Lizard, but other then the head and some issues with the legs it's not a terrible figure. But god damn is that headsculpt ugly.

Honestly a deeper hip cut would do miles for the articulation on these guys. It’s been improved a little with recent spideys but short of the ugly ball joints from TB days, it could be cut deeper to allow some better crouches.

I finally found Spider-Man Noir.

Walmart had pretty much the entire wave except Mysterio and Lasher.

Heads up, at walmart today we got a end cap for ant man, and it has a weird selection of marvel legends on it. One side has wave one of infinity war (which doesn't have ant man and wasp) and on the other is the damn warlock xmen wave, so if you still need cyclops you're in luck.

I'm not the guy bitching about the "lack of improvement" on these figures as I feel the Legends we've been getting the past few waves are the best they've ever been, but I will agree that better engineering is possible and would vastly improve these figures. Simple things like barbell neck joints, or ball socket ab crunch (like they use on the female sculpts) and waist swivels would make these guys look so much better while adding far more natural looking articulation. Toe joints on the more "wall-crawly" figures would also be a fantastic touch.

All but the latter idea would use the same amount of pieces, so no increased costs due to added parts. And they really wouldn't need too much work to be engineered since they're already used in other toy lines and are simple to recreate.

I still think the Legends figures are fantastic, and the line as a whole is probably the best action figure line on the market right now, but there's still plenty of room for improvement.

I picked up Spidey Noir just for the Lizard piece (hell, I got most of this wave just for Lizard) but I really do think he's a great figure. I never really read any of his comics, I just know of the concept and I just like the looks of the figure. The way the coat looks and the fairly impressive amount of articulation he has despite said coat is really nice. Overall he's a really nice figure for such an obscure character.

However, I dropped a Red Skull head on him and it works too perfect to not keep it that way. Until we get a better Comic based Red Skull, I no longer have a Spiderman Noir figure.

Well, hoping to keep the thread on topic, I got SP//DR from Dorksidetoys today. I love her. She looks great. I just wish her articulation would be a bit better but it's really not bad. The left arm on mine likes to pop off easily. Kaine comes with the arm though and I plan on getting him so I'll see if it's just the arm I got.

It's not my favorite rendition of Red Skull's head, but it works well enough. It's the one from the Iron Skull figure (right behind him) and it fits perfectly on the Noir body.

I originally had it on a Chameleon body, but that was a bit too spindly for my tastes, and I even had it one a Scourge body, but that wasn't that great either. The Noir body just has that perfect match of bulk, toughness yet class that works very well for a good depiction of Red Skull.

For now, my Hydra team is just two Scourges and the Iron Skull but I do have one of the 2 packs on pre-order and will most likely get a second.

It's a piece from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Sewer Lair Playset from like 2012/2013. I got most of it for like 10 bucks used and it's a great piece on it's own. But just by removing a few pieces and popping it in half it also makes a great backdrop. It's sadly a bit too small to fully scale with Marvel Legends, but it's not bad enough where it ruins the look of the display.

The bottom half also works well on it's own. It's a nice way to add levels and depth to a display without needing to do any actual work. Though if one were to paint it up, I'm sure this thing would be fantastic.

You are right on that last part on prioritizing.

Originally I was all "I want Lizard but some of the figs are meh but oh well."

But with what feels like 20 waves this year and my personal increased interest in imports (non Marvel), I am already thinking "Eh, maybe I can skip that wave".

There is always the secondary market but by the time I buy all the pieces off ebay, I may as well just buy the figs. And thats if they don't end up where one piece is inexplicable $40 all the time.

Anybodies else infinity war Thor’s right arm surprising weak? I mean in certain posed with storm breaker it falls or slowly falls. For instance if I put out the right arm out, with stormbreaker, in a mic drop position it falls straight down.

That's interesting. The right arm on my Thor is incredibly tight. Very difficult to move at all. I seem ot have the worst luck with Thor figures. I have two comic Thors that also have stuck joints that I haven't been able to fix for the life of me.

I have the same thing, with the right arm. It seems to do better if I expose the arm to lots of cold temps, it tightens up and then I can pose the arm without it flopping. After a while it goes back to swinging down if I move Thor, but at that point I just make Thor hold Stormbreaker two handed and do the same cooling thing.

I chuck his arm in freezing water or just leave him in the freezer for a very short amount of time. As you said, there isn't a permanent fix that I'm aware of. Maybe if you heat the arm up enough, you can pop it out of the socket and add some small bits of paper or something to the peg, so that there's more friction when you move the arm around, making it tighter? But that's probably not something I would do with my only Thor, and I haven't heard anyone else try it

I hear a lot of people say this but I don't see it. The IW Head looks fine to me, it just needs a wash on the beard and hair to be darker. The Ragnarok head is too dark and that seems like a much more complicated fix to get it to match the skin tone of the IW Thor.

Not exactly. It's kind of odd. Im going to take a picture, as I have both Caps, but lemme explain this first.
The promo images for IW Cap changed to this version of Cap, which, if you check all the reviews and probably even your own, the hair and skin tone are noticeably different. My guess is that this Cap is the paint he was supposed to have to begin with, but Hasbro fucked up and released the Cap's with brown hair and almost orange-ish skin first.

It's not a huge difference. The molds are the exact same, but looking at (presumably) the reissued Cap on the shelf looks MUCH better than the first one simply due to the hair color alone. And the hands matching the skin tone make it far less aggravating to mess around with. That, and now I have two shields for him instead of one. If you really want a better IW Cap and don't want to buy any imports I recommend hunting down a reissued IW Cap. If you're indifferent about Cap then it's not worth bothering, but for me it definitely was worth it. Also, the joints on my reissued one are much tighter and not wobbly at all unlike the first, but that could just be me getting lucky.

Yeah the BP wave Killmonger is the "normal" state. The 2 pack seems to simulate the powered up look with the lines being colored on the suit, though it should also have the faint spotted pattern on the body (hard to tell without proper photos yet).

Must be some sort of widespread issue. Mine had super tight shoulders which I fixed but the right arm at the bicep swivel is very loose, incredibly annoying when the weight of Stormbreaker is factored in.
