>>7018359>that Dante more articulated than 90% of McFarlane's entire cataloguefirst of all, it was a Halo toy being compared to Revoltech.
And the only reason that Dante has more articulation is because it has 23049834 cut joints. Pretty limited, hence his ackwardness in anything but the preposed statue he was cut from.
Also. i wasn't talking about Yamaguchi. Nightow was involved with various toys and eventually the Revoltech line's creation, hence so many Japanese figures having the same limited articulation schemes McFarlane used. Undoubtedly, there were other toy makers who were also inspired by McFarlane, considering how popular his toys were over there and it was more than Kaiyodo making McStatues and increasing sculpt/paint work.
Anyway, standard Spartan had Revoltech-type joints at the ankles, wrists, and elbows. Torso is a ball jointed barbell joint. Head is a ball jointed barbell joint. Hips are ball jointed barbell joints. Toes are ball joints. Shoulders and knees are ball-hinged joints. Hips also include a swivel joint. Pretty damn poseable and they aren't even preposed, unlike Yamaguchi's new stuff that still looks wonky.
So McFarlane's Halo stuff still holds up today, having more articulation than many lines today, unlike any of the early Revoltech shit.
Fuck, Revoltechs were outdated when they were released, but since it was one of the first Japanese lines to actually feature "super articulation", it was like "Wow! The Japanese are finally making toys that aren't articulated like a 1980s Kenner figure or fragile model!:"
