I really hated rubbery MegaBlok shit, but after a scavenging enoughl sets at TRU's corpse, their newest sets with the space guys and vikings you can see a clear improvement on their plastics.
McFarlane has higher quality blocks than LEGO does and their stuff isn't ultraglossy because they added paint and matte sprays, which makes for their stuff not actually looking like legos from affar.
