90% of western stuff isn't remotely historically accurate anyway. Even the term "cowboy" is wrong, that should apply to cattle wrangler,s not lawmen, gunslingers, outlaws, etc. Most of our image of the west came from novels that told grand tales while the actual west was mostly non-violent with an average of 1.3 killings per town per year. All those famous outlaws have body counts lower than a typical school shooter. Yet every story the people on the east coast read were wild tales of constant violence and adventure.

They had to sensationalize the west to make it interesting and that never changed, because the true story is pretty damn boring. I saw some comedy sketch about some eastern guy going out west and thinking it was all guns and such, I thought it was WKUK but I can't find it.

It started out when I visited my creepy old auntie and saw her making a baby doll out of silicone (it's a emotional crutch for people who didn't/can't have children). Over the past year I have experimented with 3d printers and modeling software and realised I had the ability to make incredibly realistic 1/6 scale figures.
My intention was not to make an erotic toy, but they will have fully detailed anatomy, (vulva, vaginal cannal etc) in addition to soft tissue that will jiggle and deform to fitted clothes.

O-ok anons, here's my pitch: 250-$300 per trial unit, my first prototype will be a exact 1/6th facsimile of Alexandra Daddario (the girl from Baywatch), interested? Too expensive? I'd love your input.

It’s not an either/or question, but 1:12 is the most popular action figure scale, it’s also doll house scale so lots of compatible accessories, it’s generally cheaper than 1:6.
There are very detailed 1:12 figures. Look at this upcoming unlicensed, seamless Wolverine figure for what can be done in 1:12.

The problem with seamless figures is always durability. Nobody wants to pay hundreds of dollars for a figure that will tear up after the first few times you pose it. The fact that. They are so fragile means your better off just buying a sexy pre posed statue. Find a way to make them both poseable and robust and you'll be rolling in dough.

Flickr and Instagram are full of photos and groups for 1/6 seamless figures.

I have been collecting them since the early Plastic frame Phicens and have not had any more trouble with them than other 1/6 figures. The worst was the old plastic frames failing but the new steel ones are great, only had tears on the skin if they were pulled or caught on something hard, no decay at all.

I've seen the stainless steel skeletons poke through elbows and knees on seamless figures all the time mate. Even during reviews people handling them with the utmost care have this happen not to mention they stain at the drop of a hat.

Pic related. This phone body began splitting along its seams just from a lady delicately handling it during a review. Granted the male bodies don't seem to have as many problems most likely due to thicker sillicon but still. Seamless figs in 1/6th scale just suck right now.

None of mine ever poked all the way through or split, a few did tear at some joints but a little glue fixed them. I have been lucky I guess, have had some staining but some have had the stains fade away on their own. I don't think the current seamless bodies are any more problematic than current hot toys or very cool bodies which can also tear or crack.

I collect other one sixth dolls though (high end fashion dollw, bjds, older threea stuff etc.) and I would say seamless dolls like these are significantly more fragile. Yeah you can crack joints on other types of dolls in this scale but soft silicone just can't deal with the stress of repeated bending over a metal skeleton in thin areas. It just doesn't have the durability it needs with the tech we have now.

And it's a real shame too because I like the look and the range of motion is unparalleled, I just refuse to pay $100+ for something that fragile. I'll stick to my bjds and integrity ladies until a company comes along that can perfect seamless body in this scale.

Ebay can have decent auctions on the individual bodies. sometimes around $35-40 if your patient and don't mind waiting a few weeks from a Chinese seller. Keep in mind it's a pain to search through heads and accessories since they can be labeled as any ridiculous thing due to copyright issues. The Munnlocke figure comes to mind.

Where to find them?

Aliexpress sells bodies for 60$. But I owuld have to buy a body, a head 30$, clothes 30$, for a total 130$. So it seems easier to buy a full doll.

phicen site have some dolls under 200$ but for the love of God I can't understand how to order form there.

Taoboa seems to offer good prices, but shipping will need to be included. And I never tried it.

What is the difference between S01, S05, S21 etc? Are they newer and newer models?

As I understand those silicon dolls appeared only 1 year ago/ Is the technology new and I will see incredible improvements in 2 years. making my current dolls overpriced?

For companies I have seen only phicen. Is ti possible they are the only ones making silicon 1/6 dolls?

You definitely want one with a steel skeleton regardless of what brand you go with. If it's cheaper and doesn't specifically state it has a steel skeleton don't buy it because the ones with plastic skeleton WILL break no matter how delicately you treat it . Phicen is the leading brand for a reason and every body iteration has some improvement over the last so buy the newest one you can afford.

Be aware that even the best bodies have problems with tearing at the joints if they aren't posed with extreme care and the female bodies are more delicate than the male. Also be aware that any intensely colored fabric (black, red, dark blue etc.) Will badly stain the doll. These stains can slowly fade away yo nothing over time but sometimes they don't so it's best to be cautious.

If you just want to see if you like the feel of seamless dolls in general you can get a cheapo from eBay along with a head you like and then upgrade the body later.

The absolute biggest jumps in tech was the evolution of the inner skeleton. The first seamless dolls I ever encountered were the volks elegant collection bodies (pic related). They had a solid wire skeleton and looked goofy as fuck when you bent the limbs. Seriously they were horrible and the wire was only good for a few bends before it inevitably snapped and you were left with a permanent straight limb. Also the wire could poke through the hands and feet eventually so that was just great.

The first big jump was the change from a solid wire skeleton to a jointed plastic skeleton. This greatly improved the range of movement and (more importantly) made the movement look more natural. The problem was that the skeletons just weren't very durable. It was easy to snap them, a problem compounded by the fact that sometimes a joint would get turned aroujnd the wrong way underneath the silicone skin and you would have no way of knowing. Next time you went to pose the figure bam, you bent the arm the wrong way and the plastic snapped.

Where we are now with seamless figures is the stainless steel skeleton (pic related). This skeleton is very sturdy and hard to break so the joints hold up easily. The problem with this design is the metal elbow really wants to penetrate the silicone when you bend it to much and without a lot to hold onto the skeleton sort of slides around in the skin and can come out at stress points or cause splitting along the seams. They solved the problem of the skeleton 'falling' through the feet of the figures by giving them hard plastic hands and feet but the other problems remain.

The stainless steel skeleton male figures are THE most durable seamless dolls to date imho. They have the good skeleton and enough silicone to cover it and prevent tearing and holes. The lady dolls just don't have thick enough silicone on their slender limbs to make them able to handle the constant stress on those areas. It sucks but its true.

Phicen: now TBleague are the main producers now, the various products numbers designate bust size, skin tone , detachable feet. Most head sculpts match the sun tan color. They are making a new series of smaller teen size bodies soon.

Jiaoudol is another company currently making seamless bodies, not as good I think but a little cheaper. Also they are making a much wider variety of skin tones.

I have seen some bootlegs on eBay and people complain about those, bad seams, tears and such.

I get boxed sets and bodies from bbts and monkey Depot. Monkey Depot has alot of loose parts too.
Smcgcustoms has jiaoudol bodies, parts and boxed tbleague sets.

Check prices on bodies; I know yours wouldn't have the advantage of a large run to bring PPU down, but that is a lot - even for a clothed figure.
Not being able to change the head would probably be a drawback for a lot of people, though Alexandra is gorgeous.
Maybe also consider cut joints at the places that get stressed a lot for dynamic poses? >>7032542
functionality/durability over aesthetics. squishy breasts are probably the biggest feature, since they are most affected by clothing

The I don't even get the appeal for seamless licensed characters in general. Unless the character is mostly naked all the time its pretty pointless and the fact that most collectors like to leave characters in iconic poses on a shelf makes it even more baffling because that's a huge no no for seamless figs. Seamless figures are best kept in a totally neutral pose stored in a clean box when you aren't photographing them. They attract dust like nobodies business and leaving them posed for a long time can stretch the skin on them permanently.

Man despite typing up a huge ass novel on why these are still kinda shitty up thread I kinda want to buy one again. The heads for them are just so charming and real and the body is fun to pose even if it can't take handeling for shit.

My first prototype looks like poop, so I won't post it, but the skeleton I made allows the joints to bend to allow doll clothes, yet support the figure in a realistic manner.
At the moment I am waiting for a 110volt step-down transformer for my 3d printer, after that I will post the 'blank' template for the mold I designed on my computer.

Try wrapping the limbs and body with strips of Saran wrap. The tight clothes will slip on a lot easier. After you can leave the wrap hidden under the clothes if you plan to redress or just rip the wrap off.

That's the thing with bashing 1/6 figures, if you really get into it, you sort of have to be able to modify stuff to fit what you want, some sewing, painting and other crafty skills. Big top figures usually need a stretchy top, cotton or spandex, I have had to adjust buttons or replace them to fit before. Took them off and used Velcro strips to get that little extra material around the back or boobs.

It would have to be top quality latex paint that could handle a ton of flexing. These are very soft sillicone bodies but if you planned on painting it and then not touching it very much it should be OK.
