What characters are you looking for? If you're willing to get a weird variant for the likes of Skeletor and He-Man you can get some of them for mostly normal prices. I just suddenly fell deep into the MOTUC hole myself, but mostly just grabbing any cool looking cheap figures I can find like Karatti and the like. Like d-tier characters. I'd love to get a Trap Jaw, but I'm not paying those prices for him. Same with Fisto. Fucking $500 for a 7" figure?

They're fine, honestly. They had some troubles due to the factory doing things wrong initially, but there's not a problem really.

I have a few of their figures now, I like them. Better than the Mattel black plastic, that's for sure.

I'm primarily trying to get He-Man lineage related figures, like Oo-Larr, Wun-Dar, King Grayskull, and the like. I've thought of making my own customs of them as well, but the prices most of the time for recasted heads just bites.

It's below average overall. Poor quality plastic and really bad paint ops. I bought a CG Hordak from BBTS that had paint all over his face. I returned it and got another that had paint all over his arm and face. I returned that one and got an Imp that had ZERO paint on him at all. The Fang-Or I got was a bit better but the plastic they used is really cheap feeling. It's like a KO.

For the record I don't think they're being cheap or vindictive, I just think they don't know any better. S7 isn't used to a "collector" line like MOTUC with lots of parts and POA. They're used to 5 POA simpler figures. They're kind of learning as they go along.

Ya, they had release dates. He-Man preorder in August, Skeletor preorder in September, both slated for Q1 2019. I can't recall what they said for Faker and Mer-Man, but they were there too (I believe Q2 2019). They all retail for $160.

There was some question about if he'd even be able to get Super7 to replace the damaged figures, since they only make a certain amount. Some in the facebook group said, they'd be able to replace them, but they'd be the single carded versions and not the special edition two-pack. They also damaged the box on his He-Man and Skeletor two-pack but the figures weren't damaged like this. He had intended for them to be kept mint on card.

It’s not just the likeness rights.

Mattel doesn’t have the rights to any of the movie’s designs unless they were a toy in the original line, or appeared in one of the mini comics.

So, unless Super7 gets the rights separately, we won’t even be getting the Classics looking He-Man and Skeletor in their movie costumes, which is all I really want.
