He's not a bad actor (he earned that Oscar), but he's a crazy actor. He's usually the only redeeming part in most of his films. The scripts are usually garbage, but he finds a way to make the film enjoyable.

Dark Knight was a shit script with an ugly Joker, but the actor died so people feel a need to praise it. That wasn't the Joker, that was a Jem character.

I loved the second Ghost Rider. The first one was entertaining enough, but if it was any other actor, it would have been a snoozefest. I have yet to see a Nic Cage film that wasn't enjoyable.

I enjoy The Dark Knight, but I recognize the flaws that it has. His performance wasn't bad. He wasn't the Joker as I would have liked, but it worked for the series that Nolan made.
