I would say just buy some of the weapons you think look cool. They should be able to hold them fine.

I use a tiny drop of super glue. Get the gel type super glue. Use a toothpick to apply a small dot and that should do the trick.

I use white glue or blu tack depending on the hold i need it to have.
Both are for temporary holds, as it should be for modifiable stuff, but bluetac is firmer.

Usually they pop off easy. Hasbro even packed in spare heads with some because they're easy to remove. It's the chromed Destroy and CC heads that are the issue, they tend to crack.

Man though, that's not supposed to look like that. Either a one-off mistake that got deformed, or a newer release and the mold is degrading bad.

Part of the rement karaoke set. These accessories are scaled for 1/12 so I'm fudging a bit on the size.

The table and chair work way better for 1/18 than 1/12 though - so thats kinda weird.

so... are these like cheaper versions of the old Bbi toys? The vehicles they put out today are just awful and out of scale and with silly gimmicks, except for that up armored humvee. In the past their vehicles were incredible accurate and detailed but go for gazillion dollars today. What went wrong? I still need a good Huey 1C for the upcoming 'Nam guys, got a 21st century hoghead for $120 bucks because that's maybe the last huey we will ever see in toy form.

Pretty much. As I understand it, the current Bbi isn't really the same company. As for what went wrong, expensive to produce, and no real retail outlet to make the the economies of scale work to get the prices down, though a couple of those small vehicles from a couple of years back are actually re-releases that were from a more kid-friendly line Bbi did at the same time they were doing the true 1:18 stuff.

21st's UH-1C is likely the only one we're ever gonna get. At least JSI chipped in some cash for new armaments packages for their last to releases of it. I'm hoping MGR does pilots, because 21st's are expensive as fuck.

Oh yes theirs is a 1C, I meant the troop carrier version with the elongated fuselage, the 1D or 1H. That would be cool to have, even as a not as accurate version, like with the M&C/PTE/Click'n'Play blackhawk that is a decent stand in and very playable and most of all, affordable right now.

All these years later I'm kind of surprised they didn't do a D/H. In hindsight I feel pretty lucky they did a C, because I think most companies would have went with the more recognizable variant. 21st had a couple of cool vehicles in the works for the Vietnam line that didn't make it out. Really wish they were still around.

Spero Toys and FMF are going to share the deluxe gorilla mold for the various sasquatches and other such things from Monster Force.

I live in Virginia, placed on order on the 24th of July, shipped the 27th, arrived the 30th. Probably would've arrived the 29th based on the tracking but that was a Sunday.

And that's including a "delay" they sent an email about because they had a ton of orders after reopening the store after convention season.

Here it is the cockpit dissasembled. It is held to the hull by a screw on the bottom of it, once removed you have to take care of 4 more screws to remove the pyramid like upper turret. Inside we find a fairly austere inner turret with out seats but with some details, not like some reviews out there make it seems that is completely hollow with no detail like I used to believe. Here you can see some sort of control panel and two monitors, which by the way seems to be easy to hollow out (put some leds maybe) since behind them is blank space and are not thick plastic. Its true the figures will be left rattling around because there's no seats but it's a small complain, at least for me.

Currently manned by a trio of Cobra Paravipers since their plane is not ready yet (a true heroe's shark plane being modified since 2 years ago lol) they were pressed into armor duty. I don't dig the Cobra hiss drivers, too whacky for me. The Panther will be manned by cobra troopers, stinger drivers or maybe renegades' Cobra troopers, they look like tough mechanics.

ZombieLab is out this month, so Marauder is probably next in the production queue. Bear in mind by "September" they probably mean they're going to start shipping out the campaign rewards to backers in late September. New stuff probably won't hit the store until October for non-backers.

Whats the best way to crack open a star wars 3.75 inch torso? With the least amount of damage?

I tried opening a TVC kylo ren with a flathead screw driver plus blade and it caused damage to the plastic before the torso "cracked" open. Now he has two giant holes at his right side.

I'm gonna try to fix it by sanding it and some sculpt clay.

Im assuming you are talking about the B.A.T. peg being too big for what you need?

Use an exacto knife and slowly shave down the peg until you get it close to the size you need. Dont take off too much at one time. Take off a little bit at a time. It doesnt have to be as small as the other peg as the upper arm hole stretch so it can accommodate a peg that is a little bit bigger.

as you can see under the female Gorgon's armor/clothes (or any female figure) there is the same blank base body, the only ones who have clothed torso are the male ork and knight chest armors, the future female knights will also have non removable torso armor (they tried to do it but they said it makes figures too bulky and restrict movement, that's why armored bodies with have armored torsos)

So I bought this set for use with 1/18 figures...the chair is small and too short for most figs.

How do I fix this? I can put the whole ensemble on a platform to make it 1/18 level but the seat area where the patient's legs go is still too short.

Im thinking about cutting it in half and putting an extender in between. Or possible resculpting the chair part. Which material is best for this project?

I'd probably just add a base to the bottom to raise it off the floor to a realistic level and just have their legs dangle off the chair.

Yeah, there's that, but I think it's more that the Star Wars figures aren't compatible scale-wise with pretty much any current 4" line. Granted, the "newest" SW figure I have is super articulated Dagobah Luke, but he's well shorter than even the few ReAction figures I own. He's child-like next to Acid Rain and Boss Fight figures, and I presume it's the same with Marauder. Hell, the SW figures were small compared to the Modern Era Joes, too.

The licensor ultimately has to approve of the toys and they may be content with 5 POA or other limited articulation designs. They may prefer fewer parts to drop production costs, they may just prefer the simpler toys. Hasbro ain't gonna do shit unless Disney gives a thumbs up on it.

Lucasarts also seemed content with lesser articulation. They probably figure adult collectors won't even open them and that kids don't care one way or the other.

The Snowcat was released as the Wolfhound in the PoC line. Not sure about the Imp though, I don't think it has a modern version but I could be wrong. You could always check out GeneralJoes or YoJoe and look through their archives. If it was released, it would be in there.

I know it's not completely /toy/ related but it looks like a new Joe mobile game might be on the horizon. This artwork appeared on a vis dev artists website who works for Gameloft. Although in my experience as an illustrator, usually you can't post stuff on your website/social media that hasn't been officially announced yet so the game might already be cancelled.

It’s relieving to see it ranked above Acid Rain figs. I only have 3 of em and although I like them, I do find their plastic a little gummy. But their good figures non the less.

To followup, I feel like this is probably some concept he's doing for himself. The level design and the terminology basically looks like Overwatch, so I assume this is kind of a "what I think a GIJoe Overwatch-game might look like". Though not getting paid and doing that much would be a little odd unless he really likes the property. I know there are some Chinese OW clones on mobile, but who knows.

I was at NJCC too, talked a lot to both Marauders and Boss Fight.

Big news from Marauders main dude was that they might postpone the Vietnam kickstarter after a second WW2 kickstarter because they have a lot of stuff ready to go for that. He also gave me a free test shot of a new female bald sculpt they have coming. Will adds pics of most of their new stuff and tooling and paint masters and accessories. Marauders John is a good dude.

Talked to a few different (all very nice) BFS people, semi-convinced one of the sculptors to pitch a Cadillacs & Dinosaurs line.

Boss Fight is going to be carrying ZombieLab in their online store, but that ZL has already nearly sold through their entire run so there won't be a ton available, so don't wait around.

They're not in a rush to do the sci fi series. Not even currently on the official schedule although next year was mentioned.

Gladiator set as you see in the other guy's pics is fully painted, out around January IIRC. It's a trial balloon to see if these painted accessories do well compared to the plain unpainted ones.

Asked about the rise of Chinese 1:18 and they said they were told by their contacts in HK that Hot Toys has priced itself out of the collectors market there and their sales are not as good anymore, and that apparently the thinking is the next toy collector craze will be 1:18. So good stuff for us to be sure.
