>>7092083Yeah! I know. somehow Shartimus' videos are always the recommended videos so its impossible to avoid seeing the guy even though I don't enjoy his reviews. I can't put my finger on what is is about his content that I don't like without stating the obvious reasons, theres something like you said so formulatic about what he's doing, maybe the best way to describe it is theres passion for the collection, he clearly likes his toys but theres no heart in his reviews
Its like he turns on the camera, turns on his obnoxious Shartimus persona and its volume 11, max speed of steriod, hyped up, this is so cool, big big big ass big bad toy store shilling, and it just stinks of bang through this video, take a 10 mins rest to calm back down, go to the door and get some fresh air...then back to the camera on jacked up sugar adrenaline Shart but there's no heart to the content, I feel like I'm watching a Vegas lightshow of sounds and lights and its just too much Shartimus in too short of a period of time, he exhausts me to watch him because I feel like thats not him, he's an act, a persona. an exhausting autistic hyper active child acting up in a mall store....for that reason I just cant stomach watching his videos, its go go go go but zero real geniune heart or the sense that this guy is even real
I'm glad you brought up Spot because I find him to be the completely polar opposite, he's got a professional tone and presentation but it doesn't feel like I'm watching some street performer doing stuff for money, he seems like a genuine guy that likes what he does and knows that what he's doing is reviewing something, he doesn't have to turn up the volume of a character that's not him, I feel like I'm sitting down with a friend that I've known for years and we're talking about figures. Spot points out things he likes and things he doesn't like whether he's getting the stuff free or not, I dont get that Schilling vibe from him, the content he puts out is crystal clear especially as of late, I would rival his production value to that of Optibotimus for lighting and clarity but he doesn't come across like he thinks he's a celebrity which for the tier of reviewers I'd put him in, he seems pretty humbled even though I don't know the guy behind the camera, I feel like though who I'm seeing in the videos is the genuine article and he's not having to turn it up like how most of the reviews do it like Emgo, Pixel Dan, Optibotimus, Seanxlong, and of course Shart
I think Spot would be a fun guy to hang out with, manly because the youtube fame doesn't seem to have gone to the guys head, he knows Youtube is a small window that can always close and I dont think he's put all his eggs in one basket wanting this to be his career which maybe is why he's as down to earth as he seems on camera
