Have we seen Megas next to and in the Acid Rain B2Five vehicles? I'm tempted by them, though I've seen the height difference between the mini-figures. It's just difficult to find pre-made vehicles & structures that work with Megas (that I don't have to build myself: I'm lazy).

I just got a 3 pack of b2five figures and a stronghold. I haven’t put the stronghold together, but it seems like it would be too big for Mega.

Of course, the stronghold doesn’t really have a scale. I’ll post pics on friday of it next to some Mega. Meanwhile, here’s a quick fig comparison.

Mega employee from last thread! Sort of sad at the fact nobody seems to believe me but oh well!

Fantasy ideas get shot down because major fantasy licenses such as GoT, though pitched CONSTANTLY are too expensive (insanely so) and mega/Mattel have decided it was a fad and that it's dead despite the show still getting episodes in the future. And why not generic fantasy? Mattel doesn't seem to be doing too well internally and mega has had to let go of people at a higher rate than comfortable...so maybe they'd feel its too big a risk? I might try and present the figs as dnd substitutes though.

Apparently i came off as rude for disliking the pkmn and minions lines last thread? I have got to say that as fans you are much more dedicated to the product than I am, as it's really nothing more than a job when we just keep getting thrown minion products. Pokemon has been getting better but that's actually because Pokemon themselves have been becoming more lax in how we design toys with their label on them, and as such more recently i have gotten to enjoy working for it. Minions still suck though (but ive been doing shit for that line since its inception)

There is no way to pitch your ideas to mega, there isnt even a normal way for employees internally to do so. Brand managers are too busy to listen to new ideas when a line is in full swing and there is only one "contest" per year when employees can show off ideas. Dead serious the league of legends builds that get pitched are so good its criminal they don't get made. But even then only the ideas presented by the main designers get taken seriously (like having slime in the dragon eggs...)

GoT already had McFarlane building amazing sets and amazingly detailed minifigures.
It bombed, mostly because what kids want this stuff and what adults want to build lego sets?
I mean, besides myself and a dozen others.

Also, after checking to see what MegaBloks showed at SDCC, i guess all that Pokemon stuff is what made my eyes glaze over that section. Pretty damn uninteresting, but I'm not a kid.
It was far cooler seeing the CoD, Destiny, and Halo stuff when it was up at SDCC.

I think someone mentioned it in another thread, but my WalMart no longer has a section for MegaBloks. Not even Pokemon stuff. Seems like dark times are coming up for you guys.
Hopefully McFarlane continues making their Five Nights at Freddy's stuff, because despite my apathy for the franchise, the sets are actually really cool.

That was me. Yeah walmart cut the mega section all together. They put everything on clearance minus heroes figs and troop packs. A week later it was all sold out or pulled and sent to a liquidator.

Target has 1 shelf for drop pods and heroes cases. Of course theyre barely putting out the series 7 cases theyve had in the back for months. Again they pyt most everything on clearance and it sold out fast.

My heb grocery store has a better selection anyways.

Yikes. Sounds like corporate bureaucracy and a lack of resources is stopping mega from putting out those amazing scale model tier cod sets from few years back.

I took this for granted and assumed mega would only grow in those days. That beyonder diorama with the sci fi dwellings and space citizens pretty much sums up that optimism. Things got bad so fast...

I dont know how long youve been with mega for but thanks for the memories. Truly the best toyline.

My bad on the train and helicopter, they've been in production for so long I didn't know what has been released since i only do background stuff for that line. About 6 years? Though even my job is now divided into short term contracts that constantly need renewal. Makes it easier for them to let me go when it becomes my turn on the block? That city of the future build was amazing to work on I have to say. Most of my work has been on halo stuff despite not being on the halo "team". Thanks for supporting! Was also me. I'm not the one who bought the rick and morty set because I don't like MacFarlane's bricks.
Stopped by my Walmart today to pick up something to work on a custom and saw that they had the planograms out around the toys. Looks like Mega will just be the various Heroes lines and troop packs.

Megas hands are honestly less than ideal. I can shove lego sized pegs into chinese bootleg mega figure hands without affecting them at all. Admittedly, chink bootlegs have thicker hands and gummy type plastic.

Sometimes I just wish I could arm my mega with the considerable surplus of lego shit guns I have.

Since Mattel owns both licenses, they should forget about the shitty Stackdown line (admittedly clever name aside) and give Mega the WWE license. Maybe not a ton of builds apart from rings, stages and stuff, but plenty of opportunity for single-carded minifigs, multipacks and sets of accessories.

It's real (you do get He-Man's axe and Skeletor's power sword). Also a 5 pack of the currently released figures. Might not be good for you but I didn't see a single Heroes figure for a long while so I'm happy to be able to get these guys. I do wish the regular Heroes waves showed up more consistently though (in Canada of all places).

I think the Jovian Guard Titan is probably my favorite Mega mini ever as well.

But to be honest, as a person who actually played Destiny 1 a pretty fair deal and main'd a Titan, the Jovian Guard was always my favorite armor set anyway.

Literally from day one of Mega announcing the Destiny line I was hoping we'd get that armor as a mini. And when they made the Zavala Mini I knew it was only a matter of time before they did the Jovian set proper, since it literally was just a palette swap and a new head.

There's also still a lot of exotic equipment and stuff from the first game I'd like to see. Would really like Icebreaker and some of the cool pulses. I was so hyped when they started the Destiny Heroes line, but we've seen and heard nothing after that first wave...they seem to barely even be squeaking out a couple more sets with that Thresher and Ghaul set.

Hopefully there's still more in store down the road...

You have failed me fellow Aus anons, i posted about the $150 destiny harvester set telling you all to buy them to save me, but you didnt listen and now im poor.
In fact i ended up buying three, with cashrewards getting me $50 back as well so it was more like $135 each set. Im gonna try and sell 2 of them at christmas for $200 or so and that profit will have paid for my one i keep, so hopefully i can sell them.
So i guess in the end your failing me will hopefully work out for the better. Has anyone posted much about that set on here? if not i can post impressions and such if people want when i get my one.

Do you know what it is like size wise compared to the mammoth set? I had that but ended up selling it after a year and a bit for like $250 profit because it was too big to use. Im kinda thinking i'll do the same here, just build the harvester then sell it after a while, then i will have made a profit overall from buying them and got the bunch of figures.

Yeah, base is just the Cabal Phalax from some Destiny set. The chest crest is a spare part I had from an Imperial Razorback. Purity Seals were folded-over painter's tape, scribbled on, and stained with Seraphim Sepia. The Jump Pack was just thrown together from a bunch of Acadia Jumpship parts.

My local Walmarts don't even have space for the COD crates: just carded heroes and the troop packs. I saw a Hazmat Crate on ebay from somebody in CA going for $40 and I almost bit on it. Somebody else pointed out Mattel's online store is going away, so unless Amazon becomes the go-to place for (hopefully reasonably priced) Mega Construx, I think it's all over.

It doesn't look good. I recently noticed the size of Amazon's MC inventory has greatly shrunk. By that, I mean the number of sets that Amazon itself sells has diminished. The majority of MC is offered by 3rd party marketplace resellers. This also seems to be the case with other non-Lego building block brands. In a way, it makes sense. Now that TRU is out of the picture, there's very little reason for Amazon and Walmart to stock Mega Construx.

I sure hope that Mattel decides to sell Mega to another company instead of scrapping the brand. The big problem is that aside from Probuilder and Inventions, so much of Mega's catalog is entangled with Mattel IPs that it wouldn't be left with much for a new owner to absorb. I'm also guessing that Halo, the Activision licenses, and the Dreamworks licenses wouldn't survive another transfer of ownership. Still, it would be a real tragedy if Mega, the second best selling interlocking building block brand, stopped existing altogether.

More like the best, having a unmatched building system is one thing but actually selling superior products is another. Mega is the latter.

Megas generousity and value for their sets is admirable considering they are a western company with western expenses. The one figure less debacle is just us being spoiled. 4 figs and a small terrain build? Relative to all other toys we are still getting more than moneys worth.

In the last few weeks I've been to 7 Walmarts and 4 Targets between Maryland and Delaware. Each Walmart now has a practically non existent Mega Bloks section(most being reduced to incredibly old stock of Halo heroes, Cod heroes, and Mega Heroes condensed into a single box) and like 3 old halo sets in a different area. None had a section specifically for Mega products, nor did they even carry old blind bags anymore. Target only seems to have Pokémon and Destiny/a few halo sets Walmart had they're trying to clearance off. My friend in Virginia reported the same.
When will they just officially announce it's over instead of winding down into a slow depression?

Was at Walmart yesterday and they'd combined their Mega together at the end of the Lego aisle, previously they only had Poke and Minions stuff there, with CoD et al at the end of the next aisle over. They had a couple new things, most notably the Inventions Military booster pack for $5 Cdn (picked up three) and a Halo set I was previously unaware of, a radar tower with jump pack Brute (didn't buy, felt overpriced). I'm hopeful that Walmarts here intend to continue carrying at least a modest Mega selection, still waiting for more Halo Heroes (they skipped 5, got 6 recently) and blind bags (none yet after Challenger and Maverick).

Anybody in this thread work at a Target? I was out shopping and found two Phaeton Gunships sitting on an endcap. I immediately noticed them, because they still had the old Mega Bloks branding. The boxes looked intact and undamaged. When I took them up to the price checker, they came up with no results.

So I have a few questions. Were these returns? I could see a collector or reseller trying to pass these off as recent purchases and getting store credit for them. Or could they have been lost/stashed in the storeroom and only found recently? How do they price product not in inventory? I'm sort of interested in picking them up for parts if the price is decent.

Seeing how the MSRP was $45, I would hope to pay less. Certainly less than $40.

I just thought it was an interesting find at a time when people are complaining about not finding any Mega product on the shelves. If I really, really had to have it, I would have gotten a price lookup.

When something comes up as no result, that usually means it's been defected out and is no longer in our system.
Best guess is that they were in a box from years ago that no one touched until they were updating the backroom and realized they had it.
I'm not sure if it's policy everywhere, but at my store we usually just give people the last clearance price for it. Each one of those will probably be about 14 bucks if that's the case.

Hope Evil-Lyn and Man-at-Arms get a similar rerelease. I don't know why I can't find any Heroes locally, we seem to get CoD and Halo Heroes (also never got the Destiny set, at least in stores) [this is Canada btw].

I know I've said it in other threads, but I wish they'd just do a MotU line. There are enough vehicles and things you can make sets out of to get most of the figures out there that way.

I think the Heroes line was testing the waters for MotU, and now we have 2 independent sets of MotU on the way in the form of the Wind Raider and the 5 pack. I think it's a pretty good sign that it's doing well so far, and if these sets do well perhaps they can move on to more, and eventually something like a Castle Grayskull.

I'm more interested in the mounts & creatures and playset builds than the vehicles in general. they once reused a Warcraft panther for the demo battlecat, I wonder if they're restricted from using them again for other purposes?

I've been picking up the occasional Destiny figure for either $3 or $4 as well as Trek dudes in Dollarama
But I would really like to see the xenos MOTU or the new CoD Heros. (there were 4 in Walmart. and I got the sniper) and DAMN I want the green guy loot crate and the new Hazmat lab.

Yeah that's what I was kinda pissed about but I'm guessing Scareglow was a favorite of whoever is putting the line together. I think we'll see Mer-Man and probably Trap-Jaw sooner than later.

Who were the rumored figures for 5 and 6?

5 had Mulder, gray alien (really curious as to what this one is gonna look like, probably no elbow or knee articulation), Stratos, Scareglow, Blue xenomorph, and....?

Yeah, he's one of the coolest figures. He glowed in the dark, and depending on how you read his description, he was Skeletor's dead ghost from the future, or... some ghost that Skeletor had working for him that coincidentally had a skeleton thing going on like himself. He was badass. I actually had him when I was a kid and just used him as Skeletor.

Scareglow was one of the last figures made, as a cheap mash of parts they already had, plus a cape. But being a glow in the dark skeleton is always cool, so he became a sort of fan favorite for those that had him.

Well I personally use the netted helmet because it comes down lower the the new tactical helmet which covers the back of the head I'll probably swap it the the axis helmet from the new battle pack

You know, every time the topic of a Mega Bricklink comes up, I think of the forums dedicated to Mega and how each of those forums has their own dedicated subforum for buying/selling/trading Mega; and then I think of how well and how long those subforums have worked for their members, and how much work anybody who started a Mega marketplace would have to do in order to earn the trust of all those buyers and sellers. Really, the biggest stumbling blok (hurr) is there is no complete catalog of sets and parts. It would be a monumental undertaking, and there is no guarantee people would ever use it once compiled.

So I just watched this.

It is amazing. I’m seriously impressed. The acting is terrible and the effects too, but the direction is excellent. The posibg and that blurr effect on some scenes works amazing. The lighting in the odst stealth scene is great.

Are you a pro at stop motion? You should send this video to the kubo people. The story is generic as fuck, but the directing man, it’s the best stop motion I’ve seen. The fighting with the big silver halo enemy and the swordfights, really something else for one guy doing all in his basement.
