>>7105211Bruticus was such a clusterfuck for each component, it's amazing he looks so good complete.
First you've got blast off, who they made a jet, and then later made a shuttle, but the shuttle makes an elaborate transformation for the shuttle nose instead of just making it his fucking arms like the original.
Then you've got vortex, who shares a mold with blades, and it seems like they tried to design one mold that would kind of, sort of look like either mold if you squint. So what we've got is a vortex who's arms and legs don't look anything like his (and a blades that looks even less)
Then you've got onslaught who suffered the same problem, becoming a hybrid design between him and hotspot.
then you've got brawl, the least interesting one who somehow manages to be the only one that looks reasonably like BOTH his G1 toy AND the cartoon.
And that brings us to swindle.
That motherfucker.
He doesn't look anything like ANY of his designs. He doesn't look like his toy (which has this chest being the undercarriage of the jeep) because instead the front end sticks forward, with the wheels on his torso instead of his arms for some reason. He doesn't look anything like the cartoon either, there's no big windshield, or grill for a crotch.
But despite all of this, bruticus looks pretty damn good. And I have to admit, the robot mode on onslaught looks pretty nice too.
But after all that...
why did takara feel like Blast off was the only one that deserved a new mold? and why did they somehow overengineer AND half ass it at the same time?
